Could we get a definitive list of reliable companies?

    Recommendations so far:

For minerals and vitamins you’ll need vitamins a,c,d,e,k, trace minerals such as calcium/magnesium/zinc/selenium, and biotin (type of b vitamin). Swansons makes cheap good vitamins as well as solgar, nature’s way, and soloray. I can recommend some high end brands too if you are interested; examples include standard process, integrative therapeutics, thorne, pure encapsulations, and there are a few others.

You’ll also need to reduce the inflammation of the gut, and a good way to do this is with cod liver oil. Fermented cod liver oil is superior but way more expensive; it contains natural ratios of vitamins A and D and has prebiotic properties.

I’ve also got nature’s best, simply supplements, higher nature but i suspect these aren’t established companies but rather ‘own brand’ products that are belong sold through their respective websites.

I’m also seeing ‘quest’ products a lot.

Also can i have a list of places people shop online pls? I’m in the uk myself.
So far i have goodnessdirect and buywholefoodsonline.

Where do people source their kefir as literally all the stores are currently sold out and can you all tell me which milk thistle product you use.

Personally i’m looking for budget but established/reliable brands.

Also an important question can i get a b complex or is it best to buy everything individually [in this case biotin].

Also what EXACTLY are people taking because even within the same brand name their are half a dozen different forms and strengths of the same product!

    Thanks all

    Hello eskimo,

Here are some good links to check out:

    http://www.thecandidadiet.com/forum/yaf_postsm12680_Product-Sources–Europe.aspx#post12680

    and

You should aim at getting 100% daily value of vitamins per day in one capsule if possible. Some things like vitamin C you should take more than daily value.

Brands are quite different in the UK so I am unsure what you can get. If swansons delivers to the UK, I would check them out because they seem like a good bang for the buck.

I personally use super milk thistle by integrative thereaputics which is very expensive when compared to the other brands ($46/bottle US). Regular milk thistle should work fine.

I would purchase biotin and not a b-complex; once you start eating kefir regularly you won’t need any b vitamins. There are some online resources for people that ship kefir grains to other people in the UK (person to person) and this can start everything for you. If you can get the forum search to work, others have talked about it in the UK.

ok i just read some very scary articles, from this point on i’m only interested in natural vitamins not synthetic ones.

Does anyone know where i can find an ingredient chart so i can see what the natural form of vitamins are as produced in the body?

The one in this article is gone, also not sure how true the information is but maybe worth a read:

    http://www.globalhealingcenter.com/natural-health/synthetic-vs-natural-vitamins/

    http://healthwyze.org/index.php/fake-chemical-vitamins.html

I’ve been reading this information from a dozen different sources today.

Also thank you for the links raster i was lost without them! i.e. dosage etc.

EDIT: Are vitamins even available in their ‘natural forms? I know B12’s natural form of Methylcobalamin is available [as opposed to cyanocobalamin], so i presume there’s others?

I take supplements tailored to my specific health problems by a nutritionist so are not what the forum suggests, I can however suggest some good brands and where to get them.

I currently use nutrigold, nutri, biotics research and udos choice products.

Most of these are available at a good price from this website:
    https://www.yournutritionshop.com/
Which also sells Thorne Research, one of the brands raster recommends.

Nutrigold and udos choice also sell direct:

    http://www.udoschoice.co.uk/

    Hope this helps.

Those look great i’ve been comparing them all. A few of them use cyanocobalamin in there b-complexes which is a poor sign, equally the ones that use the naturally occurring b12 are promising.

Can i ask if i should avoid the b-complex because only biotin is needed on the candida diet or because the complex is mixed in a way to provide minimum benefit?

Also anyone heard of GNLD? No body mentioned them but they seem quite high quality.

My b-vits from holland and barrett contains cyanocobalamin which is made utilizing cyanide but in to small amounts to harm humans supposedly. Disgusting.

    Thanks again all.
