Able and Raster,
Thanks. I just ordered the Thorne SF722. The reviews sound great.
QUESTION: This will serve as my antifungal right? Are there die off symptoms with this product? I think I am experiencing die-off from probiotics. Is that possible? I’m the one who just finished a course of anti-biotics so may be connected?

You can get die off from anything that kills candida so is it possible to get die off from SF722? Absolutely and the level of die off will depend on the amount you start taking. Sounds like you are just beginning your fight if you are experiencing die off from probiotics alone.
I cannot speak for raster or able but I’m pretty sure raster would recommend starting with 1 capsule a day of SF722 and evaluating how you feel after a few days and going from there.
SF722 is one of the more gentler antifungals in comparison to others in regards to how it won’t harm the liver. It is still always recommended to use something to protect the liver during your treatment.
Good luck.July 19, 2013 at 5:22 am #107872

I went through 2 bottles of it taking 3 capsules 3 x a day. Honestly I don’t know if it helped or not. It definitely is on the milder end of the antifungals in my opinion.July 19, 2013 at 8:19 am #107885

I can get die-off from sf722. Sometimes, I think it works great, and other times, I can feel bloated and constipated from it, which I think is weird because from my understanding, most people feel like that have to use the bathroom from using it. I have been taking a smaller amount of undcylenic acid from phystostan, recommended by nd, because I have a sensitive system; trying to move slow (not recommended for forum b/c contains a variety of anti-fungals), but the goal for me is to get from switching to that to just using probiotics and sf722. It is just taking me some time. But yes, just start out with 1 and evaluate. I have been slowly just taking been taking 1 for a quite awhile now. Good luck!July 19, 2013 at 12:30 pm #107892
Thank you. This is sound advice. I also have a very sensitive system and things effect me more than most others. I will begin slowly and take it from there. Do any of you know of a good naturopath? I am in New York.

Just to support what others have said: SF722 is great, and as with all things for the love of god go slow and do all you can to avoid die-off. I took a blasé attitude towards die-off and it ruined my health. One a day for the first few days to see how you get on is plenty. This is a marathon not a sprint.July 19, 2013 at 7:43 pm #107918
Thank you! May I ask how die-off ruined your health? Now I feel a little nervous. The last thing I want is to get WORSE.

Die-off gave me chronic fatigue syndrome. I think I mentioned this in another post to you. I went way overboard at first on harsh antifungals, trying to power through feel awful. SF722 is nice and gentle and starting out on 1 will be very unlikely to cause any harsh reactions.July 19, 2013 at 8:45 pm #107923
Ah yes I remember your story now. I’m still nervous because I am super sensitive and have had both CFS and Epstein Barr in the past. The last thing I need is that.
Anyone else on here – has this EVER happened?
How long did it last for and did you have to stop the canadida diet?
