So the first 2 weeks on the diet and anti fungal I developed pink eye and bumps under my skin in the chest area. They are both bacteria related. 7 weeks in I now have a swollen fingertip right by nail and I believe this is another bacteria infection from die off. Does anyone have any natural remedies to take care of this before,it gets worse I have to take antibiotics? ThanksApril 11, 2012 at 10:52 pm #78681

Try soaking in chamomile tea, or if you are using teabags, you can just wrap it on the affected spot. Chamomile has strong antibacterial/antifungal properties, I’ve taken care of eye and other infections with chamomile, if they are not to advanced of course. Try this and if it doesn’t get better in a day or two, or if it starts getting worse, then have it checked out.
I had all kinds of weird stuff during treatment so far. I had mouth sores, sore throat, popped out or sore glands. Mostly they go away in a day or two.

the grapefruit seed extract (liquid concentrate) label lists dosage & instructions for nail treatment (diluted application directly to fingernail &/ or nail soak.) maybe, this is something to look into…? the maker is “nutri-biotic” GSE. good luck!April 12, 2012 at 5:01 am #78702

i’ve had similar with my die off. I choose to use the steroid cream to control it, but one of the idiot GPs told me candida & die off was “quackery” (where have I read that before) & I had to use antibiotics to get rid of it.
I use chickweed cream with liquorice added to it & soaked my hands in marigold tea (twice per day), both helped. I also had epsom salt baths & kept my hand covered when I was working (in a gym).April 12, 2012 at 8:33 am #78722

Black walnut extract is effective for fighting microbes. Check out the herbal tea list for a good anti-bacterial tea.

I soaked it in chamomile tea, cleaned with soap and alcohol and drop oregano oil a couple times throughout the day. Im trying to prevent it from getting serious. Its just a lil swollen at this point but its not warm or filled with pus
