    Hi All,
I’m new to this board and am really needing some help/direction. I am the perfect candidate for Candida but all 3 of my doctors think I’m nuts. They say the only way to have a systemic yeast infection is if my immune system has been compromised by something like AIDS.

I seem to have all the classic symptoms:
    1) Feel drunk/dizzy after eathing anything with sugar.
    2) Metalic taste in my mouth
    3) Severe brain fog.
    4) Cant concentrate
    5) SEVERE sinus problems that started about 7 months ago and wont go away. I’ve also taken several rounds of antibiotics.
    6) Joint pain that cannot be described.
    7) Muscle weakness almost to the point of being unable to walk.
    8) Numerous food allergies.
    9) MIGRAINES at least once a week.

There others. Can anyone give me direction on what to do please?

    Hi there,

I know this forum is difficult to get a reply on, I myself am waiting for one. Sorry to hear you have some health problems, first and foremost please don’t confuse a yeast infection with a systemic yeast infection. A yeast infection is a standard inbalance of good bad/bacteria and its more likely you have this than a systemic yeast infection. Try to follow the diet for candida and ask your doctor to prescribe something like nystatin, hope you recover soon.

    Hi discodiver,

I’m in the same position as you at the moment. Symptoms include joint pain, anxiety/depression, tiredness, weakness, weight loss, various gastric stuff (heartburn, gas, intolerances). I am currently waiting for an appointment with a doctor who specialises in candida and food intolerances. I think it’s important to find a practitioner who can diagnose you and give you the proper support you need. I found mine through the following website- http://www.candida-society.org/ncs/index.htm .

I know this organisation is based in the uk and see that you are from the states, but it might be worth dropping them an email to see if they know of any practitioners in your part of the world.

You are probably feeling desperate and miserable right now. Like your body is falling to pieces and that every doctor you see doesn’t know why. Try and be positive, you have made it this far and this might be the turning point you have been looking for. I wish you all the best in your recovery.

    Hi Discover!

I too have been battling candida for a few years now. I have gone to multiple doctors and all they do is prescribe diflucan or nystatin but it still comes back! I finally went to Naturopathic doctor in my area and he really helped. He recommended the candida diet, drinking apple cidar vinegar, taking daily probiotics (Dr. Ohhira’s Probiotics formula has been the best i have found), garlic and apple cidar vinegar enemas, and acupuncture. I feel so much better since i have started this anti-candida program. I am a nurse and i do practice western medicine but i have had the best results from seeing an alternative medicine doctor for this condition.
