This is an inorganic compound used as a preservative for not only fish, but also meats and poultry. All I could find was the safety date sheet on the compound with the only real dangers of using high doses being nausea and vomiting, etc, but you’re not going to be ingesting large amounts by eating fish a few times a week.
I doubt it would have an immediate effect on the infestation, but in the long run I have no idea and didn’t find any research on term use.
