Coconut flour is appropriate for the strict diet, whereas almonds and almond flour are recommended only after symptoms have subsided.

I’ve never heard of almonds being banned on a candida diet. What’s the rationale for that?

There’s no such thing as a food being “banned” on the forum’s Candida diet. You either eat what’s on the diet or you don’t; it’s an
individual’s right to take the advice of others who have already treated their Candida infestation or not.

As far as why specific foods are on the forum diet or not, this post explains how the diet was designed.
