Hi, I know that i have had candida for 10 years now, but unfortunatelly found out only now by researhing that it can be so serious, and also found out that my all other illnesses is because of candida.. well not thouroughly said because of candida, but i guess more because of antibiotics….
Started from childhood with flue and tonsilitis. Used to get sick 4-5 times a year, until i turned 18 and removed them, hence did not get sick that often and plus did not need antibiotics. However, it was too late as the damage is already done. When turned 18 was diagnosed with psoriasis and 21-diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis… now just guessing whatelse to expect, but now slowly opening my eyes that candida was all the way through-out since i was 16-17 till now 25-26…
I feel a bit panacky, want to cry at the same time and not too sure where should i start… the doctors i went, just told me nth to worry about – it is just a candida and they laugh when i tell them that because of that i have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis (noone of my relatives doe snot have neither psoriasis nor psoriatic arthritis). Asked my gp to send me to specialist or ginecologist, but got an advice that “nobody is going to accept me for just yeast or thrsh infection”, she prescribed me thrush cream and let me go.. i was in a shock, hence i stopped going to gp and felt so stupid even asking for further treatment as i thought it is really nth serious, but after doing some research and from my chain of deseases it just confirms that i need an urgent and long treatment…. feeling so stupid being so naive for the past these years without doing nth.. want already to start from today, but festive season is coming, so the whole diet is going to be ruined i guess.. i am confused wher and when and how and with what to start with…

I would start with listening to some Dr. Mccoomb’s. He can explain how candida is related to many other diseases and the use of antibiotics. He specifically talks about arthritis some.

    Here’s a link:

If you are really serious about getting better and curing your ailments, I would do the candida diet very strictly until you are healed. Don’t follow Dr. Mccoomb’s diet because he promotes fruit in the diet; sugar is not allowed.

Another idea is to visit a naturopathic doctor. Not only will they say you have candida, but they will address your other ailments as well. Remember they come out like colors of the rainbow, so finding a good one could be difficult.

There are plenty of good foods you can eat on the diet and if you need any suggestions, we are here to help.

Many thanks for the link, quite interesting and at the same time scary.

I have actually bought an e-book today of Rodney Davidson http://www.candida-albicans-cure.com/, where it actually tells you 6 steps:

1.Eliminate the Cause of the Overgrowth

    2.Starve the Candida

    3.Kill the Candida

    4.Repair the Damage

    5.Remove the Toxins

    6.Encourage Good Bacteria Growth.

However it does not really tell you for how long you should starve candida for, then for how long you should kill it, for how long you should repair it and for how long your should remove toxins for and for how long to encorage good bacteria growth. Tried to e-mail it to u, but I could not attache it.

It can take as long as 6-18 months to fully recover from candida. I went on the diet for 4 months and am mostly symptom free now. I believe I am doing part 4 and part 6 right now at the same time.

Are you doing this diet with a help of doctor or on our own. I guess on your own it should be a bit difficult, because you would not know when exactly you should stop straving or when you should exactly kill candida, as you might think it is gone, but it might be still there and after the whole treatent it can come back any minute again… plus i guess for everyone is different treatment tie os required depending on how long you had candida for… i dont know i am just so confused..

I did the diet on my own and failed. Able corrected me on the bad things; I was having coffee, rice, regular yogurt, fruit, etc. I wasn’t taking the proper supplements as well.

But this wasn’t good enough; after 2 months of doing the diet on my own I still didn’t feel that well. Thats when I went to a naturopath who helped treat me, and not the candida.

The timeline I mentioned is no joke; if you think you can fight candida by doing the diet for 2 weeks, you will be woefully dissapointed. Candida overgrowth is caused by immune system dysfunction…which typically was caused by years of mistreatment of the body in one way or another.

The diet is the best way to heal yourself. Veggies! All of these parts are very much related, but parts 4 and 5 are some of the most difficult ones to heal from. Repairing the damage can take a very long time.
