I can’t see anything really wrong with them personally, but a better person to ask would be Able. Hopefully he will see this and respond. Hope we can have them 😀

I can’t see how they would be detrimental. They’re basically just water with a bit of prebiotic fibre (glucomannan), and without the massive amounts of starch contained in buckwheat or oat bran.

Livestrong.com wrote: Glucomannan contains polysaccharides, which swell with the absorption of water, making it a useful laxative. Drugs.com states that konjac glucomannan has been investigated for its role as a prebiotic, which is an agent that stimulates beneficial intestinal bacteria. A study of eight volunteers who supplemented with glucomannan found a 27 percent increase in bowel movement frequency, as well as the improved ease of passage of stool. Shirataki noodles can aid in constipation, as well as help with hemorrhoids and diverticulitis.

Realized that ‘spaghetti squash’ is out so now I’m even more curious to know if the shirataki noodles are in! Anyone?
    Thanks!

wanted to elaborate on my thought…still not functioning too well here without caffeine! The glucomannan sounds great (thanks for the info Javizy!) It’s the calcium hydroxide I’m wondering about-I’m trying to keep what I eat as chemical free as possible but thought these might be something to look forward to a little further down the road in moderation!
    Thanks again!
