Hey, I have been suffering from ringworm for about 2 years now. It goes away then comes back and I don’t know how to get rid of it. I’m a wrestler so I first got it from the wrestling mats. I’ve read online that scalp ringworm is different then ringworm anywhere else because you have to internally treat it and I don’t want to take the anti fungal meds the doctor wants me to take because I’m afraid it’ll damage my liver. a friend told me this “candida” diet could help but I don’t know if this is really the right thing to do because I haven’t read much about it curing ringworm.

Also I’ve developed swollen lymph nodes around my groin area about 5 months ago… I went to the doctors and they prescribed me an antibiotic for 10 days. it made it better for about a month then it came back. my friend also said I should go on probiotics because of this. later on I found out that the lymph nodes are a side effect of the scalp ringworm. not sure if true but what I read.

I’m a wrestler and trying to gain weight, can you gain weight on this diet? I’m 20 years old and 120 lbs, was looking to gain at least 20 more lbs as I’ve started lifting weights intensely. I’m wondering if this diet will mess up my training and my bulk or if thats not true?

If anyone can help me, give me advice that’d be great. I wanna know if this is the right thing to do before I start it as I don’t wanna waste my time and regret it.

    Thank u

    Hello ringworm,

I have had pretty bad ringworm over the years and still do have it some. The candida diet can very much help cure ringworm. I have also had really bad hair loss, and after doing the candida diet for 4 months, my hair has grown back! At the least, I would recommend trying the diet for 2 weeks to see whether you have any improvement.

As far as gaining weight, it will be very hard to do while on the candida diet. However, if you eat a ton of food with every meal, I think that it is very possible. One guy on here ate 6 meals a day and was an athlete, so with this in mind…you can eat 6 meals a day and probably gain weight.

Most people lose weight on the diet because they were slightly/quite overweight to begin with. I personally lost 10-20 pounds; I am 6ft tall and used to weight 165pds. Now I am at or near 140. So I was a pretty skinny guy to start with but still lost weight. Hope this helps.

    Good luck with the diet!

Athlete’s foot, jock itch, ring worm, and chronic fungus infections of the skin or nails are all common manifestations of Candida.

In order to completely cure it, you would need to go on the complete Candida treatment program.

You may want to take a shampoo with selenium sulfide…this will really clear up the ringworm for me. You can find it at most stores.

I talked to a health specialist and she said taking garlic pills could help kill the ringworm internally by itself. is this true? I have no ringworm on my body just on my head where no one can see it. but it usually spreads on my body occasionally when I run out of the selenium sulfide shampoo or dial antibacterial soap.

If I do go on the candida diet how long do you think it’d take to cure ringworm? because It’d be real hard for me to do this for 6 months especially when I’m trying to gain weight like I said before.

Any external supplement containing antiseptic properties (anti-bacterial, anti-viral & anti-fungal) can be used topically or on the skin surface in the location of the ringworm. Since garlic is an antiseptic, it can be taken internally as well. If you purchase the garlic capsules, be sure find the ones that contain allicin.

The length of time that it takes for the Candida diet to cure a Candida infestation or ringworm depends on the extent of the problem.
