I’m on a low carb diet, so I’ve pretty much been eating green salads with my hot meals. But I’ve noticed that if I put hot stuff on the salads on my plate the salads get brown (the once who cant take heat) and I will have a reaction, so I try to keep it separate. However, I sat thinking about this while eating, what happens when I eat them all together, what will happen inside my body? will the hot food make the salad bad in my tummy and leave me with a bad reaction without me knowing it?
Just wanted to see if anyone has any experience on this.May 5, 2012 at 1:58 am #80921

I had a decent reply, which did not take arrrgh!
short of it … as long as there is no fruit involved, it doesn’t matter. If your hot meal is a little more complex (incl meat) than the salad, I’d eat the salad first then move onto the meal. Simple foods digest faster, so I’d want to get them in first, and not have them sitting around.May 5, 2012 at 3:43 pm #80979

The hot foot likely spoiled the salad ingredients and thats why it gave you a reaction. I find that eating them seperately is the best way to go.
