I am wondering if other people on this forum also get constipated when taken probiotics? I have tried many different brands but always have the same results. Even when I eat organic unpasteurised sauerkraut causes constipation.

For now I plan on not taking the probiotics until I get candida more under control(diet and anti-fungals).

    Has anyone experience with this?

    Thanks,

Any change to your gut flora can lead to constipation or diarrhea. That’s not necessarily a bad thing – it just shows that your gut is adjusting to a new balance of microorganisms. It can typically take a week or two before things stabilize. If the constipation is minor, it might be worth continuing.

    Thanks for your reply Wiley200.
The probiotics cause a total blockage. I usually end up taking a magnesium supplement to relieve it after 5/6 days. Possibly I will need to try again for longer.

If anyone has any other opinions or suggestion please let me know?

    Thanks,

Lots of fluids, and make sure your diet contains lots of vegetables too. Maybe try a smaller dose, or start with some probiotic yogurt (plain).

    D,

I dont believe that probiotics are causing the constipation.

You should ask yourself: Why do I take probiotics? To balance my gut flora?

Well. If you really want to balance your gut flora, you should no just take probiotics, but cleanse first. This is what many people get wrong, to have healthy gut you must cleanse, exercise and do probiotics for a few months.

    I recommend this:
    Do 2 stages:

    Stage 1 – detox, 30 days
    1. Eat only raw fruits and vegetables
    2. Drink plenty of filtered water
    3. Get yourself high quality herbal detox program – I recommend 30 Day Refresh by Go Detox (it does include strong probiotics and cleansing herbal properties for your gut).
    4. Buy yourself Apple Cider Vinegar – drink daily
    5. Buy yourself coconut oil – raw. Eat before sleep
    6. No junk food at all
    7. Go for walk, do stretching daily
    8. Read positive books
    9. Sleep in well ventilated room

Stage 2 – nourish your gut, 30 days
    1. Plenty of water
    2. Start eating cooked food, but no meat or any chemicals in food
    3. Get yourself high quality probiotics such as: Go Detox, Renew Life or Vitamin Bounty
    4. Do homemade Kombucha and drink daily
    5. Do homemade fermented veggies and eat before sleep
    6. Stay active daily

Follow this and your gut after these 60 days will be healthy. I promise.

    Good luck.
