Hi guys just looking for urgent advice, I was doing well on a diet from somewhere else but I was foolishly told and believed that it would cure me in 30 days. While I had 1 or 2 clearer days brain fog came back and I panicked and convinced myself it was a thyroid issue and had a Thyroid complex delivered. This was about 12 days ago I took about 4 of these tablets over 3 days. I had scary anxiety through the roof all this time I was on decent version of the diet with antifungals.

I quickly figured the stupidity off what I was doing my symptoms and general TSH level test results indicated it wasnt thyroid. I seemed to recover slightly but things escalated with anxiety in panic again I had just got my Molybdenum Wednesday that I read helps brain fog and die off. I had 1mg bottle of glycinate and 150mcg amino chelate bottle servings. I had 1mg of glycinate not reaslising the strength.

It was the best I felt in 3 months but 4 hours later the brain fog came back with vengeance so I took 150mcg chelate that night. And 1 more mg the next morning so 2.15 mg in 24 hours I wasnt excreting or expelling toxins enough, since Thursday Im practically in vegetative brain state worse than ever before.

Can someone let me know if I have overdosed or done permanent brain damage. I cant function at present mentally a vegetable with scary anxiety depression. Is this just extreme die off, please reassure me it will lessen soon. Ive been going to toilet more but Im as bad as ever and stopped all anti fungals days ago. Did I overdose Molybdenum ? What should I do ? Im scared, Im only 25 and I messed up

It is possible to overdose on molybdenum – here is a case study:
    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10649845

If you’re concerned about it, note down everything you’ve taken and see a doctor.

As a general rule, it’s a good idea to follow the dosage suggested on the bottle, or close to it.

Having said that, I think molybdenum toxicity is pretty unlikely. I know it’s been a couple of days since your post – how are you feeling now?

    Hi,

The dosage on my bottle was 1mg!? Overall I would have had 2.3mg over 4 days. I’ve still not recovered I’m having bad headaches I had none before, I cant drive I could before, brain fog = 10 times worse which I didnt think could happen I’m seeing doctor asap and praying Ive no permanent damage. It may be a liver overload but I just dont know.

I just hope this wears off soon Ive had glassy eyes 24/7 that I hadn’t before, maybe indicates liver damage /detox? It seems like my urine is alcohol even though Im not on antifungals anymore

It sounds unlikely that only double the stated does would lead to an overdose. After all, there are safeguards built into those dosages and many people take more than the recommended amount. It certainly won’t hurt to see a doctor, but it seems likely that it’s something else. Maybe you have the flu?

    Hi,

Ive been to the doctor but he didnt help or know what molybdenum even is. Maybe Im allergic? I can say with certainy Wiley it isnt flu no symptoms of it plus I had it 7 weeks ago. Diorreahea every day is one new symptom but maybe due to Vit C im having. Looking at the case study is horrifying but how common is that.

Im still having headaches but not as many. I wonder is it possible my molybdenum was a bad bottle there was some kind small smoke coming from the chelate bottle when opened for a few seconds, shipped usa to Europe seems unlikely though.

Wiley my brain fog is so bad much worse any suggestions for relief, its 24/7 full on. Im assuming thats the Acetylhyde? Because it lifted for few hours when I first used molybdenum glycinate. I dont dare try the moly again and milk thistle seems not to help. Im also much more fatigued now than before, I cant drive my car at present due to this which isnt helping. I hope and pray to God that I improve enough to drive and this fog lifts again for good

    Thanks for your help

Its so disappointing Ive reacted to Molybdenum this way. Given it worked at the start for a few precious hours. I wonder did I just over do it. If my fog doesn’t improve and headaches stop I could to take a chance on something else in 2 weeks as I cannot function at all. Maybe gluthatione. NAC ? Any thoughts. Im too scared to try molybdenum again anytime soon

Im waiting on a blood specialist appointment over wbc but that could take 6-8 wweks. So Im left to fend for myself again. Im only finished college I haven’t got the chance to work or do so many things in life yet 🙁

I would consider trying it again. That dose doesn’t sound large, and molybdenum is a trace element that all of us need. It might have been a reaction to some other food, or a virus.

Jay, perhaps the issue is psychosomatic. I say this because a couple of years ago I was having kidney pains, both of my kidneys would hurt and I was sure I had done severe damage from my rampant partying of my earlier 20’s. I had blood work done to check and turned out my kidneys were fine. They miraculously stopped hurting. My mom has had knee issues with synovial fluid and I was also an avid runner. My knees started to hurt intensely, I was certain I no longer had synovial fluid and I was now bone on bone. I went to another specialist and had an e-ray done and my cartilage and synovial fluid was fine. My knees stopped hurting. The mind is a super powerful thing. Maybe somewhere, someone, or somehow you came across information that subconsciously made you think you were interesting something bad and it would hurt you and I think that little smoke you saw was enough to make your brain think “this is bad stuff”. I’m not a doctor but I would say stop taking anything for a week or two. Drink plenty of water, exercise with weights and running, eat nutriously and balanced. Don’t eat candies, don’t ingest caffeine but if necessary drink chamomile tea or take Valerian Root to help calm your nerves. I suffer with really bad anxiety and both of those reaaaaally help. Sending you good vibes. You’re gonna be fine! 🙂

At the moment I feel like bloodflow to brain isnt working, Im going to bed as I dont know what else to do . If it doesn’t improve to manageable level soon I may have to present at A&E as my doctor is not helping at all. He doesn’t seem to care and hasn’t explained or helped me deal with this. I wanted to avoid hospital as my immune system is low

Too scared the moly may finish me off rn as Im so weak maybe if it was 250mcg but 1mg is too risky right now after before

Hi Jason, thanks chamomille is the only thing to calm me at this point. I do believe something is off with my head right now but I would have thought after stopping all antifungals last Friday and molybdenum Saturday by now Id have some relief . I cant go on like this maybe an mri scan or something would at least calm these worries.

All im doing now is hoping and praying for relief from this brain misery

Another oddity, milk thistle seems to inflame my problems also. Why would Molybdenum and milk thistle do so, i thought my liver was the issue its meant to help lol

Hi Jay, ive been going thru some extreme die off issues for the past 6-7 weeks myself. The only thing that is giving me any kind of slight relief is Valerian Roof Tea, and staying hydrated! Water alone wasnt helping at the least. A friend told me about adding Gelatin to electrolytes. So i made up 4 cups of water, 1 lemon, 1/4 pink Himalayan sea salt, 2 tsp raw honey – for electrolytes AND 1 TBSP gelatin. I simmer to blend and liquify all ingredients and drink it before it cools.
Remembering to chew your water. You want as much saliva mixed in to help you stomach and digestion.
You could also use plain pedialyte with 1 tbsp gelatin.
Today is my second day of drinking this and my body is actually reacting positively!
In addition, drink at least have your body weight in ounces!
Staying hydrated is the foundation to all healing.

    I hope this helps you

For anxiety I have been using Gotu Kola. It has helped a lot. I still have issues but nothing like I did before taking it.
