    Hi folks

I am hoping to get some advice as I am (still) in a bit of a pickle. I have been on the website diet now for nearly 8 weeks, and my die-off is not only persisting but has actually appeared to have worsened somewhat over the past week or more. This is an example of what my typical day currently looks like:

    On rising:
Eggs, coconut oil, spinach/jalapenos etc., sometimes millet/rice
Cup of herbal tea: chamomile/peppermint/liquorice/cinnamon/ginger/sage/’liver detox’

Milk thistle (just noticed mine was 65% alcohol so i binned that and am awaiting a new delivery)
    Molybdenum (450 -750 mg daily).
    Omega-3
Vitamin C (has guar gum in – a danger?)
Ashwagandha (Thanks, Able. I think this is helping)
    Now 10, 25 Billion probiotic
Homemade milk kefir (giving this a break for a few days to see if there’s an impact)

    Lunch:
    Quinoa, sardines, avocado, spring onions

    Molybdenum
    Vitamin C

    Dinner
    Chicken/Duck/Salmon (sometimes lamb)
    Lentils (<0.5% Sugars)
    Big pile of veg

    Milk thistle
    Molybdenum
    Omega-3
    Vitamin C
    Ashwagandha
    Now 10, 25 Billion probiotic
    Homemade milk kefir

    Candida killing activities
This isn’t really in a strict regimen, however I will generally eat a spoonful of coconut oil in the morning in addition to cooking with it. Moreover I drink innumerable mugs of anti-fungal herbal teas each day (those listed above), and often eat brussel sprouts and garlic. I have just today added spirulina to my diet in a big veg soup i made.

    Detox activities:
    Dry skin brushing
    Epsom salt baths
    Drinking a lot of fluids
    Acupuncture

    Die-off Symptoms:
Extreme exhaustion (cannot work at the moment so I’m home all day and often in bed).
    Dizziness
Muscle tension (especially in neck and jaw)
    Sinus pressure
    Post-nasal drip
    Anxiety
    Confusion/clouded thinking/brain fog
    Foamy urine
Bad breath (my girlfriend – bless her – informed me this started a few weeks into the diet)

    Tests
My doctor has recently tested me for the following, all of which came back normal and he actually said my blood looked ‘really good’
    Thyroid
    Liver
    Kidney
    Blood sugar
    Others (can’t remember)

EDIT: Also had hair mineral test which has indicated a very low (safe) level of mercury. However I also have an amalgam filling. Not sure if this is something I will ultimately have to confront using more reliable tests.

    General medical info
I have had chronically inflamed tonsils and lymph nodes in my neck for many years that have been particularly bad in the past 8 months. Other than the odd few days, however, these are actually appearing to be on the mend at the moment. I mention these because it could be something to do with candida/the lymphatic system? I also am very, very likely suffering from adrenal fatigue.

I have never really had persistent or reoccurring GI symptoms other than the odd loose stool and occasional stomach discomfort. I suppose this is a blessing, but it makes me question my candida diagnosis (I suppose the die-off flies in the face of that). In regard to my BMs I am regular and usually with good consistency. I had a few days of diarrhoea early on but other than that I am alright.

I have an anxiety disorder which varies but is under a bit of strain at the moment. I am taking steps to limit its impact.

My doctor is now referring me to a CFS specialist.

When I had my first round of die-off (it has fluctuated) I also had kidney pain, terrible panic attacks and really strange physical and mental sensations which I can’t describe. These have now either gone or subsided to the degree that they are not really concerning.

So, does anyone have any input on my protocol and diet? (acknowledgement that people have experienced it lasting this long would really help too :))
(NB: Unfortunately the forum diet is not feasible for me as my family and girlfriend would be in serious opposition)

I’ve been on the forums diet since last May. (took a couple of weak long breaks, and lately I’m not following the forums diet strictly) My die off has never stopped, I always at least have one minor thing going on. Just this weak my major symptoms did a shift, and I was able to sleep through the night but other symptoms came up.

It seems to me that your pretty normal, and on the right track.

I would consider getting tested for h.pylori or SIBO in case you need to change what you are doing…

I would also consider gettin super milk thistle X to help you detox better.

You are only taking food grade soures of antifungals; if you try something stronger, the die-off might lessen over time.

    Hi raster

First, can h.pylori or SIBO occur without many digestive issues to speak of?

Second, I did look for milk thistle x as i read another post where you suggested it was the best. Unfortunately I have not been able to find it in stock on any of the UK sites. However, I have found something that looks almost as good and has similar levels of silymarin by Now foods:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003O1RCO4/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Finally, I was considering the stronger anti-fungal route again, but I am worried about what it might do to me at the moment! Do you think it might be worth waiting until I have a bit of strength back?

    Thanks for your input!

If you have no digestive problems then I wouldn’t look into sibo or h.pylori.

The now foods product looks like a good replacement.
