i’ve read that your tongue is a good indicator of what’s going on in the body. my biggest issue with fighting candida (besides sinuses) is this oral thrush. it was definitely improving but now it seems to be getting more and more white.
this is a big sign of candida and some sites claim this is die off. i’m really not sure what to think…am i feeding the candida or is this in fact a good sign of die off? i’m strictly following this diet so i’m hoping the candida is not getting fed some home.June 6, 2013 at 5:14 pm #105832
What is your diet like?
Plan on the oral thrush sticking around long term. How long have you been on the diet? Plan on a 6-18 month recovery time.

i’ve been on a candida diet for 2 months..i just started this diet found in the ebook this week.
there have been many improvements…just not in this department. i had no idea it would stick around that long.
to be honest i feel like im becoming afraid of food! too much conflicting info going around.
my diet is very healthy with tons of veggies, antifungals, and probiotics.June 6, 2013 at 5:50 pm #105835
It can take up to 2 years for the oral thrush to go away so I would give it more time…you need to reduce the candida numbers internally for it to go away.

looks like this will be trickier than expected. one step at a time…
since it can take up to 2 years, how do you know if your diet is helping or making worse?June 6, 2013 at 6:27 pm #105838
You should feel better…you should feel your symptoms lift slowly over time. If they don’t, or persist then you aren’t doing it incorrectly or could have a different flora overgrowth as well…such as parasites, bacteria, other yeast, etc.
You didn’t mention your diet. If you are eating rice, rice milk, carrots, tomatoes, corn, moldy items such as nuts, quinoa, etc. then you might not get better very quickly or could get worse.

sorry. the diet i’m currently on is as follows:
eggs, quinoa, buckwheat, nuts (soaked in gse for a few hours).
kefir that i’ve made
many coconut products (flour, oil, milk)
most of the veggies listed in the ebook without tomatoes, carrots and corn. (i was hoping to be able to do tomatoes since many raw recipes require them)
raw garlic at night
oil of oregano in water
gse in water (alternating with oil of oregano)
1 billion count probiotics (i’ll have to check the brand)
greek strained plain yogurt
turpentine with surgar cubes
the detox drink i started yesterday (cayenne, lemon, water and apple cider vinegar)
i chose quinoa and nuts because im afraid of not getting enough nutrition.
i have a lot of veggies in my fridge that im trying to utilize with recipes in the book.
hope that is what you’re looking for.
thanks for the responsesJune 6, 2013 at 8:13 pm #105848
You need more probiotics to get better. Ideally you should be getting somewhere between 30-90 billion cfu probiotic per day starting out and increasing to 100-300 billion cfu as you get better.

my mistake. i just checked the brand, it’s Optima with 100 billion cfu.
also, i’m told homemade kefir has up in the trillion mark.
