    Quick question:
While browsing through the web for information about candida one can conclude that antibiotics are pretty much the root of all evil. But Nystatin, an antibiotic, is always a recommended treatment.

Can someone help out with this confusing contradiction?

Nystatin is an antifungal, not an antibiotic.

    Okay, thanks.

It actually is an antibiotic, but as I understand it, such a narrow-spectrum antifungal that it’s very effective against Candida Albicans.
