    Hi guys,
I know low blood sugars is the aim of the game, but I’ve been checking mine (I’m not diabetic) and they’re getting very low (4.1 for anyone who that means anything to) and I’m really feeling it. I’m now on day 8.
I work as a nurse in an emergency unit and I cannot risk collapsing/not being on my A game at work.
Desperate for any advice on keeping blood sugars in a functioning range!
I’m struggling to keep my protein up, as I don’t eat eggs. Trying to have as much chicken as I can but I’m getting bored of all the same meals. Anyone used a vegan protein powder?

I think *stable* blood sugar is more important than low blood sugar. Your blood sugar certainly shouldn’t be so low that it affects your work, driving etc. Try to avoid blood sugar spikes, and you’ll be fine 🙂

The book says that pea and hemp protein powders are good. Watch out for whey protein isolates and added sweeteners
