    Hi

Can anyone tell me whether linseed would help as a bowel cleanse or actually make it worse?

Have been taking it soaked twice a day as a bowel cleanse, and, although it seems to be working on my bowels I am getting slight thrush symptoms on and off.

I have linseed so would prefer using this as a bowel cleanse rather than buying something else, but if it will make it worse I’ll try to get the psyllium.

    thanks

    Hi,
This diet is really about trial and error. Linseed should be helpful but maybe you have an allergy to it or it could be something else.
    Have you tried psyllium?

I don’t have an allergy to it as I used to take it all the time and it is not obviously giving me problems, other than what I assume a bowel cleanse is supposed to do. I just wanted to know if it was on the good or bad list.

I haven’t tried the psyllium yet as I have linseed in the cupboard.

Psyllium is actually quite cheap so having both won’t hurt.

Wasn’t sure about the linseed myself so stopped taking it.
