I have been reading all the posts on here and they are extremely helpful. I had no idea what Kefir was and I still don’t really know what it is. Are these the correct items to purchase? http://lifeway.net/Products.aspx

    Thank you!

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

You’ll save money as well as obtain a higher quality product by using a starter kit for making kefir. It’s very simply to make this way; if I can make it, anyone can.

Thanks! I think I will try making it with the Kefir Grains – found the instructions on the website. One thing I don’t understand is how you can leave milk out with the grains for 2 days and the milk doesn’t go sour!

Oh well I will try it. Now to go on the hunt for the grains. Wonder if they are at my local grocery.

Kefir does taste a little like sour milk.

Most of them are flavored and contain sugar. Your best bet would be to make your own.
