I have a really bad case of candida. I’m new to the world of eating well and healthy. My husband and I started 2 days ago and so far so good and I’m down 5lbs. Amazing how fast it can fall off when eating correct.
I’m following the diet on the website but I feel very overwhelmed, like are you allowed beans and lentils. What about tomatoes?
I’m reading on here that there is a stricter diet but where do I find what’s on it. What about these stages? How long are you suppose to be on them?
I’m also completely lost when it comes to all these vitamin’s and detox drinks. Honestly the most vitamins i take is Vitamin C and Omega 3’s. The rest is foreign to me. If someone could point me in a directions where I can follow a plan that would be great.May 25, 2012 at 8:59 am #83044

You don’t have to do a cleanse if you don’t want to, you can just start the regular candida diet if you want to.
To answer your question about timelines; there isn’t any set timeline to get better and to go to a specific stage because we all heal at different rates. Expect for it to take 6-18 months to fully recover from candida overgrowth.

The initial weight loss is mostly water weight and glycogen stores being exhausted due to restricting carbohydrates. But eventually Ketosis will kick in and burn your reserves and you’ll slowly drop more weight every week.
I just joined here and this Able900 guy seems to be a Godsend; so check out what he’s saying. I know he knows what he’s talking about and doesn’t “sugar coat” the facts. I’ve been suffering from this condition on and off for 10 years to varying degrees and thought I could always let time heal myself if I didn’t aggravate the condition too much. Nope…it will ONLY get worse eventually.
This time it’s 100 percent effort and it’s the only way to go about it. I’m about 3 weeks in on my own effort and at times you have those moments of mental clarity and sense of well being that were all too familiar when you were younger.
Once you’ve had that glimpse of what things could be like, there’s no looking back. I’m glad I’ve come across these knowledgeable people and can’t wait to try some of their methods. You’re in the right place!
