    Hi there.

Is sugar free gum on the diet ok? Xylitol as the sweetener. I chew about three pieces a day – I have bad gastritis and the gum helps settle my stomach so really hope its ok to chew in small amounts.

    thanks

    Slinky,

    Chewing Xylitol gum is fine.
The real issue is when people start making drinks with large amounts of Xylitol which is anti-microbial.
Large amounts of Xylitol kills beneficial bacteria in the intestines, often accompanied with gas and diarrhea.

Spry makes a good Xylitol gum that’s not filled with garbage ingredients.
