I’ve been taking antibiotics for six days and I STILL have UTI. I have also been taking PRObiotics and eating a ton of yogurt daily. I’m wondering if these are conflicting and that’s why I’m not improving, any thoughts…?

Also, is it really possible to have yeast in your stool? Sorry for being graphic but sometimes I see white stuff in my stool…is that candida? Is this a sign of improvement??

Thanks, and sorry for grossing you out!

You can see candida in your stool, I think most people in the forum have seen it sometime. And you’re absolutely not gross, we’re all in the same boat. I don’t know your back story, and perheps you already know this but, candida loves antibiotics. I’m not sure, but I don’t think the best way to get rid of a candida inflicted UTI is to take antibiotics. In the forum cranberry pills is recommended (and tons of water). But don’t stop taking the pills onces you feel the UTI go away. I’ve been dealing with UTI’s on and off since I’m so sloppy with the pills and water. The second I feel the UTI go away I forget all about cranberry pills. But, maybe you have already tried CB pills?

I also don’t think you can “cure” an UTI with antibiotics; it isn’t getting better, right? Why take the antibiotics?

Cranberry is great for UTI’s, and I have not read anywhere that probiotics heals UTI’s.

Baking soda, blueberries, water, pineapple, vitamin C, turmeric, and echinacea all can aid UTI’s as well.

In order to prevent UTI’s you need to positvely change the flora within the gut for a long term cure.

    Thank you all for responding.

I’ve been taking CB pills for several months now. I was actually doing quite well going on almost two months without UTI or YI, but due to several social gatherings…I foolishly cheated on my diet on numerous occasions eating all the wrong things. I’m positive this is why I have UTI again.

I was under the impression that you HAD TO take antibiotics to cure UTI, so that’s why I took them. I thought if you didn’t take them you could get a kidney infection and then be in real danger.

Angor, have you really “cured” your UTI just by using CB pills, etc?

Raster, how exactly is baked soda used for UTI?

Thanks again! I honestly don’t know what I’d do without this forum!!

Nope, sorry to say so. I haven’t cured it. Just managed it. But, man, I wouldn’t dare take antibiotics at this point. 7 months in to the diet it would feel like all my efforts is being thrown out the window. Tricky situation. So I totally get your reasoning. Baking soda makes your body alkaline, bacteria don’t like an overly alkaline body. (am I correct, raster?)

Wish I could give a good tip on how to get rid of the UTI. But I can’t even cure my own, so … 🙂 but as long as I have it under control I’ll try to bear it.
