I eat a lot of coconut oil. Be careful though as its a powerful antifungal and you could get some die-off from it.

I also eat a lot of nuts. Nuts have a lot of fat in them but can be tough on the digestive system for some. They also apparently have mold on them so some people say to let them soak in water and lemon juice then bake them.

Other than that, i’ve been making bone broth and have been careful to make sure i include as much fat in the recipe as possible. I feel your pain, though, im 5 9′ ish and weigh about the same in kilos. Retaining weight is a struggle.

Coconut bread! It’s delicious and will help up your calories. Eat as much as you can. Eat avocados, coconut oil, etc. Count calories and make sure you are getting enough. There is a good website (myfitnesspal.com) that also has an app for iPhone and android (I believe) that can help with this. Don’t shy away from fat and protein!

The weightloss is a symptom of Candida. When your gut starts to heal the weight will normalize. You will probably find that no matter how much you eat you will not gain weight.

Here are some things I would try:

    and

    http://www.thecandidadiet.com/forum/yaf_postst1173_Vitamins-Minerals-Herbs.aspx

Try you best to eat 3-4 course meals, chewing plenty after each bite. Take plenty of vitamins because your body needs proper nutrition.

and I would look at teff which has great weight gain properties:

I’ve been struggling with this also.

Try eating coconut oil, but increase your intake very slowly. I rushed it and started eating 3 tablespoons and I wound up puking really bad.

Teff should be gluten free as far as I know, research it a little bit. Buckwheat is gluten free and is allowed on the diet.

Do you have leaky gut (allergies?) If you treat leaky gut, you can gain weight.

If you increase the amount of beneficial bacteria in the gut, this will allow you gain weight because you will have a greater surface area within the gut. Prebiotics and probiotics do this.

We developed a general plan to get better and this should allow you gain weight:

Completely agree! Don’t focus on more bread or avocados, just focus on healing your gut. Your weight will normalize itself.

I came to my Candida diagnosis partially because I couldn’t lose weight. I started the strict diet last May. I stuck to the diet from May until December without losing one pound! Then in the month of December my weight started dropping, quickly and it hasn’t stopped, and I’m thrilled because I’m carrying 50 pounds of new momma fat around.

So if calories in and calories out and eating more or less avocado really applied here then I should have lost weight much sooner. I really believe that my weight loss started when my gut was healthy enough to get the nutrients from the food I ate. I did nothing to change my diet.

Yes, I see that your trying to gain weight, it seems that everyone around here is either too fat or too thin, so it goes both ways.

Once you make progress on your treatment, your weight should normalize. I lost too much weight and struggled to get it back, finally gave up and figured I will be sickly thin for the rest of my life, so be it. But, as I was getting better, things normalized and now I am at my ideal weight and do not watch what I eat (to gain or loose weight).

I do think bone broth is very beneficial as it heals leaky gut on top of providing tons of nutrition in terms of vitamins/minerals etc. Also adding more fat in your diet will replace carbs your body used for energy before, it will make you feeling better and it could stop the weight loss. I am talking about healthy fat: animal fat (fatty cuts, ghee or butter, lard etc.) or cold pressed oils (coconut, olive etc.)
