How do I finally lose weight if I have Candida?

I have been struggling with my weight for a while. Especially after having my 2 kids. Along with many health issues. Diagnosed IBS, Fibromyalgia, CFS, etc. I have had lots of tests prescriptions but non seem to help. A homeopathic specialist suggested that I may have Candida. After doing much research, I believe this is my problem. Which explains why losing weight seems impossible. I have tried just about every diet out there. Nothing is working.

PLEASE, PLEASE, does anyone have anything that is working for them. Other than the basic candida cleanse and diet itself???

If you follow the diet strictly, you will have a time with the die-off, but once that is over, you can’t help but lose weight by sticking to the plan! I have to eat mostly vegetables. Most of the ‘forbidden’ foods are also high calorie. Exercise helps, too. I’m new, but what I’ve seen so far is that it gets easier as time goes on. I thought I was going to die the first three weeks!

It’s true. You can’t help but lose weight once you get the system going and you get through the die-off period. Although even before the die-off I was dropping pounds like crazy. It’s been 4 weeks and I’ve gone from 202lbs to 185, and still dropping almost every other day. And that WITHOUT excercise.

If you can put in the time to cook yourself the healthy meals this diet requires, then you’ll see that it’s really not all that bad, and you WILL lose weight. Bread was the biggest killer for me. I love it so much, but that was what gaining the pounds the most.

    Good luck!

I really struggle sticking with the diet. I have major food aversions. I cannot eat meat with the exception of occasional eggs and chicken, but really have a hard time choking them down(nothing against it, just don’t like the flavor). There are also lots of veggies and other things allowed that I just can’t eat. I tend to gag and just can’t get them down. I have had this problem pretty much my whole life. So, because of what I can handle eating makes my menu small, I quickly grow bored and impatient when results don’t come quickly (relief of pain, and weight loss). Is there anything that you have learned that might keep me motivated?

Perhaps you may want to invest into a juicer. If you blend up a bunch of the veggies perhaps you could swallow it better.

I was never a big egg fan, but since foods are limited and eat them every day for breakfast, I scramble them and put stuff in them. Since mozzarella is my only cheese available on diet (besides feta which sounds gross with eggs), I add some to my eggs. Alos onions, olives, sometimes spinach or peppers. Then a dallop of sour cream on top. They no longer taste like eggs. I also recommend the cage free eggs sicne taste better than the regular ones. They do cost a few cents more, but it’s worth it. Also hard boiled for snacks. (of course with lots of salt and pepper).

    Lots of almonds.

Just make sure to rotate what you eat, it will keep you less bored. Also start using fresh herbs, it helps boost the flavors.

After thinking about it, I was wondering if you have ever had your blood tested to see what you may be missing (IE: vitamins, minerals). Since you say you have very few foods you eat, perhaps it is more than a candida diet. Perhaps you are missing important vitamins and minerals, or have too many of others. If you eat the same things all the time, their is a wide spectrum of things you may missing or have too much of.
