I’m on week 5 now of my strict stage 1 candida diet. Feeling low on energy but other than that I can see the benefit.
5 weeks ago I cut out honey and fruit which I was having every day, and white rice, and I sensed my body was saying, “thank you, good move.” But since the 2nd week my energy went low and I do less workouts now than I did before.
I am wondering how long I should stay “very strict”. Not that I am aching to introduce fruit or white rice, but I was hankering after Ezekiel Bread. In the morning, breakfasts are a real struggle, and when I want a snack I am also feeling stuck.
Adding yogurt (sweetened only with xylitol) and Ezekiel bread might help me. But I know Ezekiel bread contains yeast and I was shown to be highly intolerant to yeast, so I want to be careful.

You’ll want to have no symptoms or die-off for some time before you think of adding anything back in. That’s as much as anybody ca say, really. Could be 6 months, could be 2 years.July 22, 2013 at 12:27 am #108011

I didn’t leave stage 1 for about a year personally, everyone is different…I had a pretty chronic infestation though.

Can you describe how long you probably had candida before diagnosis? Also, what stage are you in now?
