    Hello,

Is this the HMF neuro probiotic that is recommended on the site: http://www.rockwellnutrition.com/hmf-neuro-by-genestra.html?gclid=CIrKlYiHwrECFYao4AodGx4AWA

I’m looking to order it soon.

Also, I’ve been on the diet b/c I’ve been struggling with chronic and recurrent vaginal yeast infections for the past 9-10 months. I’m been doing a candida diet for about 6 weeks, though the first few weeks I wasn’t very strict as I was just getting the hang of things, though I have been off my very sugary, high carb, and high alcohol diet for that long. A couple weeks into it, I discovered this forum. Over time, I started getting stricter with my diet and am trying to follow the strict forum diet as closely as I can. So recently I stopped eating chicken 5x a week and limit it to 1-2x a week, cut out a dressing I was using with Xantham Gum and started making my own, cut out blueberries, etc.

This is pretty much my diet in a nutshell:

First thing am— spoonful coconut oil, GSE or Oil of Oregeno (rotate every 2 weeks), MegaFood Mega Flora probiotic (20-14 strain), and recently added a spoonful of ACV.

    Breakfast
organic eggs (1 or 2 — 1 if with buckwheat, 2 if no buckwheat) with occasional buckwheat groats w/ stevia and cinnamon
100% chicory root coffee with stevia and coconut milk
    — 1000 mg Vitamin C
    — Garlic capsule
    — Molybdenum 300mg
    — SF722

    Lunch
salad consisting of: organic lettuce, celery, green peppers, avocado, organic hemp seeds, and sometimes grilled eggplant with homemade dressing consisting of: olive oil, ACV, garlic, sea salt, pepper, and dollup of fage greek yogurt for consistency
    — 1000 mg Vitamin C
    — Garlic capsule
    — Molybdenum 150mg
    — SF722

    Dinner
before dinner- spoonful of coconut oil
essentially a repeat of lunch, except 1-2x a week I will have chicken with spices or fish with spices and some sort of veggie- typically grilled eggplant or zucchini
    — 1000 mg Vitamin C
    — Garlic capsule
    — Molybdenum 300mg
    — SF722

    Snacks throughout day:
Fage greek yogurt with the forum’s Coconut bread with stevia (yum)
    Celery sticks
I was doing soaked and roasted almonds but I have stopped doing that bc I know about the mold problem now
Homemade onion rings– onions in olive oil, Bob’s red mill coconut flour, and sea salt

Before bed: spoonful of coconut oil, GSE or oil of oregano, 1 megaflora probiotic

Just recently purchased: Vitamin D3, Vitamin A&D, and Magnesium/Calcium/Zinc which I will start taking.

A few days ago I started getting vaginal itching, but my discharge seemed OK. This was sorta unusual as I usually get very yeast-like discharge when I have itching. As for timing, I typically get a YI around now in my cycle. As of this morning, I have a very slight yeasty discharge with the itching, but the discharge isn’t as bad as I’ve seen it. Could this be die-off and not a full YI? I’m going to a vaginitis specialist on Weds to see if it is in fact yeast, but wanted to find out if that could be what I’m dealing with.

    Hello yisucks,

The only things I would change include eating more food. If possible, try to eat 3-4 course meals…you need to get very full like thanksgiving with every meal to get the nutrients you need to survive and function.

I would not discount taking other vitamins such as cod liver oil (reduces inflammation), vitamin E, biotin, milk thistle, and vitamin K. These are ones I would consider in time. I also feel that fermented cod liver is superior to regular cod liver oil but is quite a bit more expensive.

HMF neuro is a great product and highly recommend it. Keep in mind that the probiotics alone won’t cure the infestation, but the diet and general plan you put together will. You should still experience UTI’s on and off as you get better and hopefully there will be a day when you don’t get them again.

    Raster,

Could you post a link to the exact probiotic you are talking about? It seems there are many different types. Also, should it be refrigerated and come with dry ice? Thank you!

I like the capsules of HMF neuro myself:

    http://www.rockwellnutrition.com/genestra-supplements-hmf-neuro-capsules-60-vcaps-no-fos.html

rockwellnutrition ships it with ice for $5 and you definitely need it. Stock up on it too (few months supply) to spread the ice costs over a few months.

    Doggiemama,

that’s very encouraging to hear! That’s why I’m doing…no more YIs!

I’ve been doing a candida diet for about 2 months, but started the stricter forum diet about 2-3 weeks ago. This past month didn’t seem as bad with vaginal symptoms but I had like 4-5 days of vaginal itching w/ normal discharge which went away, and then, for the past 5 days, I’ve had on and off yeasty looking stuff in my parts when I do a self check by inserting a finger inside there. I did boric acid on my vaginal lips on Friday and it went away for a day or so, then it came back and it’s sort of up and down with the normalcy of the discharge for these past few days. Right now it looks pretty yeasty but this morning it seemed fine..seems to go up and down during the day Did you experience this during the diet?

How long were you on the diet for you to go YI free? I really hope I can experience a normal vagina again:(

You should look for this type of Lactobacillus:

Thanks Jorge. Yeah, I saw that when you posted it before. I take MegaFlora and I believe it has both. It definitely has the L. rhamnosus, and when I googled the L. Fermentum it looks like its RC-14 which is listed as L. Reuteri, which my probiotics have as well.

The Megaflora is supposed to be very good according to the website. Once I finish that bottle, I’m moving on to HMF neuro which just came in the mail yesterday
