I’ve been on the strict forum diet for a week now after two weeks of being on the candida diet. I’ve been sticking to it religiously. I had started taking a few tablespoons of coconut oil a day when i first started the candida diet and i have been trying to slowly increase it over the last 3 weeks. However lately taking it has started making me feel queasy. I can’t stand the smell of it and now when i take it i have to hold my nose, glug it down and brush my teeth right after. Even the thought of it makes me feel sick.
I’m also taking SF722 but I read on here that it’s not that strong of an anti-fungal. I’ve steered away from the others as I’ve read conflicting information about whether to rotate them or not.
I understand the queasiness is probably the result of die off so I should cut back until I can handle it but with the way it’s been making me feel i don’t ever see a time when going near the stuff is not going to make me want to throw up, as now it has that connotation in my mind (just like cadbury’s creme eggs which i had a bad encounter with when i was 6 lol).
I’d like to know what people suggest for this – would you suggest moving onto one of the other antifungals: Red thyme oil, Caprylic acid, or Oil of oregano? And if so, should i rotate? Which has the least offensive taste/smell?

You need to take the coconut oil more than you need anything else in the treatment other than the diet itself and probiotics.
But don’t feel alone; most of us can barely get the stuff down while others actually like the oil. The only way I could get it down was to allow it to solidify in the refrigerator and then chop it into chucks. Then use some sort of hot tea such as nettle leaf and take a sip of the tea with each small chuck of coconut oil to wash it down. Finish off the cup of tea so that the oil will melt quickly.

I used to hate Coconut Oil at first as well – could not eat it liquid or solid. But, then I tried a different brand – the Nutiva brand Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. What a difference!! As long as it is a liquid, I don’t mind it drinking it. Still cannot tolerate it as a solid though.

Had you previously tried Trader Joe’s brand coconut oil? That’s what I’m using – just wondering if you’ve had both for comparison?
