Is it possible to feel drunk (buzzed – not totally wasted) after a carb-rich meal?

I tested 18 on the candida test and I’m a male. I’m pretty certain my health issues are from candida. But if anyone could comment on the drunk feeling I’d appreciate it.

    Thanks, Rob

Candida yeasts can produce a fermentation of dietary carbohydrate into ethanol in the gut. This would account for your ‘drunk’ feeling and also the well known ‘hangover’ effect which comes with a Candida infestation.

Thanks for the reply. I kinda figured that was the cause. Add a glass of wine to a carb-rich meal and I have a hard time walking a straight line.

I’ve had a blood test before for candida and it was negative. The GI doc said I have SIBO, but candida is the only thing that matches all my symptoms.
