My recent blood test at my Dr. came back negative and I’ll be honest, I was shocked! I suspected I had Candida several years ago when I found this site, but I wasn’t ready to commit to getting healthy at the time. I recently found the site again and started the cleanse and strict diet and had die off symptoms that were HORRIBLE (as in I felt like death for 3 or 4 days horrible)! I’ve had a lot of the same symptoms and experiences as the people on here, so I felt like for sure I have Candida.
I also have low/no Estradiol/Estrogen, which causes very similar symptoms, even taking a small dose of Estradiol replacement hormone so something is obviously way off in my body (I’m only 38… Too young for menopause!).
My question is: Can I still have Candida if my blood test is negative? I haven’t had a chance to research what the test is and what it means so I thought I’d ask on here. I’m wondering if I still have Candida or if the blood test is negative if I can relax a bit on my food and reintroduce a few things a little sooner than I would have?
Any thoughts would be very much appreciated! I thought for SURE this would have come back positive! Maybe my symptoms are strictly hormone/low Estrogen problems??May 4, 2013 at 5:01 am #103939

You could have candida still if the test is negative. Dr. Mcoombs recommends up to 3 specific tests to determine a diagnosis.
A lot of things are similar in symptoms so you might want to do a stool test that can check what you have in your gut.
