    Hi all,
I have time that don’t post because I have found the way to continue with my life and to leave this candida nightmare a little bit back.

I have eliminated most of the symptoms ( only remaining stomach problems ) and I am eating a high carbohydrate diet now. I mean no white sugar but tons of rice, beans, fruits, potatoes, etc.

Time to time, I have had ice cream and gluten. Let say an ice cream sandwich and some cookies.

During the weekends, I have had some beers and some pizza slices.

Anyway, I still get reactions the day after I do it. I mean if I eat some gluten, the next day I feel stomach upset and mild abdominal inflammation, intestinal noise, and more frequent bowel movements. No diarrhea or any other noticeable symptoms. I am almost sure it isn’t a classic Celiac case because I don’t react in any other form. It is a form of intolerance that may be associated to leaky gut, a sensitive immune system still reacting to gluten.

I have discontinued all Rx antifungals since some time, and I am taking S. Boulardii and home made Kefir only.

It may be I am abusing with Kefir and creating a lacto-acidosis taking too much.

My tongue is still perfect pink and I can not track any classic candida symptom.

At this point, it is hard to figure out the way to go. I think I probably need to eliminate milk products and gluten totally for some months to see if the intolerance disappear.

It may take more time battling leaky gut and hoping candida don’t come back.

    Jorge.

    Hello dvjorge,

Thanks for the update. I basically experience the same symptoms now when I cheat (eat poorly) when compared to you, but I am not eating a diet that is similar to yours. I have a feeling I could eat something like your diet and feel pretty good though. My main thing is I just feel really strange after eating those items, like I am on a drug (mainly to the white sugar and wheat). It occurs for maybe an hour and then I feel pretty normal. I think the amount of energy within wheat and sugar somehow throws us off, since we are so detoxed and pure.

Anyways, I’m glad your at a place where you feel rather comfortable with your health and wish you luck on your endeavors.

It sounds like leaky gut is a definite possibility to me. Did you ever concentrate on healing it post-candida symptoms? Like taking l-glutamine, etc.?

Glad to hear things are progressing well for you. I think, having created a healthy body, eliminating wheat would be a great idea. Celiac or otherwise, wheat is pretty toxic!

I started introducing a few things back in too, mostly alright, but after a month or so of drinking swiss water decaff I would say I still have an issue with coffee, or perhaps just the small amount of caffeine in it. Today is the 1st day I stopped it & my stomach has felt a lot better. I noticed my immunity dropped a week or so into starting to drink it, it could be everyone in my house has been ill, but the digestive issues my relate to still having to work on leaky gut.

I’ve also decided to cut dairy out of my diet, its a good filler for me but I want to see if my energy levels go up after a few week off it.

I also had a major skin break out on my hand, the specialist reckons its a contact allergy so going to do a patch test on me.

Hope it keeps getting better for you.

    BENC –

I’ve been going with decaf green tea since it also helps clear out the system (*detox) and, if in a pinch and really need some caffeine which is rarely now since I’m pretty much laid out battling this, I find the small amount of caffeine in regular green tea to be enough to get me going. When I was a several cups a day coffee drinker, I never felt any effects of caffeine from regular green tea.

DVjorge – again many thanks for keeping us posted. You’ve had it rough and all your help to us newbies is dearly appreciated. Blessings to you and may you heal quickly.

Great to hear from you Jeorge! I am happy to hear you are doing so well. I am also happy with where I am now as well. Because I was so ill last year, honestly I don’t really have much courage to go further than I am. I do not intend of returning grains to my diet, but this is more of a health choice than guided by candida or gluten intolerance. I didn’t even test if I could do it or not. I did add some fruit, brown rice (in some recipes it’s just not it without the rice but I am mostly on hunter-gatherer diet because I like it), cheese, small amounts of honey (I really can’t find ways to like stevia even though I am still trying) in my morning oat bran porridge, some beans, occasional potato other root vegetables. At times my stool would be softer, but mostly it’s just normal. I do get gas from time to time, but not bloating. For me I think I am doing well healing my leaky gut with bone broth naturally, and I feel that I still have lots of work to do to rebuild my gut flora and do believe that remaining periodic mild symptoms (such as gas) are due to lack of good guys in my flora.

Same as you raster, I get head buzz from anything that contains more starch or some form of sugar. Like a drug! It’s so weird, isn’t it?

Thanks, unfortunately my allergy tests (from Genova) say that i’m allergic to black & green tea (along with a few other Candida friendly ingredients).

Believe it or not its wasn’t even the caffeine effect that I wanted from coffee (although during most of my treatment I was desperate for some), i’ve grown to love the taste of expresso. I can live without it though. I did for almost 30 years, just started drinking lots of coffee as I slowed down my party lifestyle.

    hi ya’ll,

i’ve been on Nystatin 5 months now. My tongue is almost pink, but still has an ever so slight coating in the back. Do you guys have that, or is there no coating at all? Since Jan 1, I haven’t had any sugar, grains or fruit – just veggies and meat. Until last night – I gave in and had almost an entire honeydoo melon. OMG it was soo good. I didn’t get sleepy or head buzzing, but i sneezed a few times an hour later, and felt a bit itchy today but that could have been mental. I would say my tongue had even less of a coating today after eating the melon. Until now I’ve had a lot of willpower. I wonder if my candida was on its last breaths and caused my craving. Today i had a granny smith apple and some blueberries, but on an empty stomach per food combining principles. I really don’t want to give up all my last month’s progress.. but my body hurts from the antifungals, and probably from too much oil and avocadoes. I just want this to be over!

Anyone know what the head buzzing is from? I also feel like a crawling sensation on my scalp sometimes. Thanks!

Congrats Jorge! Keep posting please! I read everything you post and it has really helped me understand. Good luck.
