Eating turnips makes me feel worse. Most candida diets tell you to avoid potatoes, at least in the early stages of your treatment, because potatoes have sugar. Turnips have almost three times as much sugar as potatoes — 3.5 grams versus 1.3 grams in 4 ounces.
Smart people agree that eating fruit makes candida worse. For years, I wondered why I never improved when avoiding the items that are on most do-not-eat lists. It’s because I ate bell peppers and cucumbers, which I recently discovered are actually fruits.
