I am doing the Specific Carbohydrate Diet for candida overgrowth. When I am not experiencing die-off, I feel great on the diet. However, due to a really nasty case of candida I have been getting lots of die-off. In particular, any antifungal makes me feel like utter crap. I am currently doing small doses of coconut oil and tolerating it fairly well if I take bentonite clay and charcoal with it. Also I am taking about 50 billion organisms of HMF probiotics.
The bad part is that I don’t tolerate molybdenum. I’ve tried a plant-based molybenum supplement along with Molybdenum Amino Acid Chelate. Both of which caused reactions. I am extremely sensitive to foods and supplements so this is very common.
Does anyone have any suggestions so I can get my coconut oil dose up without having to rely strictly on taking lots of charcoal and bentonite to make it tolerable? I’d rather not take all that stuff but I have no choice currently.
My other option is to work my dose up VERY slowly.. like spend a week or two at 1tsp, then go to 1.5 for a week and work the dose up over a month or two. I think this is probably my best bet due to the sensitivities.
Any tips? Thank you all!July 28, 2013 at 11:34 pm #108330
