I have been on the candida diet for two weeks so far. My naturopath advised a candida diet and I’ve more-or less been following the one outlined on this web page. However I have had half a grapefruit spread out over the past two weeks and I was using a little almond milk that had agave in it before I realised my error.
I had a bout of vaginal thrush the week before I started the diet and during my period it cleared up but it came back soon after. It has been current for the two weeks I’ve been on the diet. In the past I have had intermittent spells of thrush (maybe 6-8 times a year). I have used canesten cream to clear it in the past but have been trying some natural home remedies recently. In this instance nothing is working. I am planning to get some canesten to clear it again but I’m not sure. Is it likely that this bout is related to die-off. It is really hard to tell as I don’t seem to have any other die-off symptoms. Will the thrush go away after the die-off has run its course.

You likely will have thrush for a very long time and it should slowly reduce or go away as you get better. For most people this takes 6-18 months.
