I’ve been reading other people’s stories/complaints, and started to piece together what candidiasis is like in other people.
So quick question, I’d like as many people as possible to answer, doesn’t need any more than Yes/No, but more information is appreciated.
So as the title says: Did YOU use probiotics BEFORE you started the strict diet?
Now this could be any time before you knew you had a Candida overgrowth, any time whilst you were diagnosed with anything at all? This could be any form of probiotic, yoghurts, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchee or probiotic supplements (pills)
I myself had been consuming daily Activia yoghurts since 2003, with Bifido bacteria, and truly believe this had improved my digestion. But since starting the diet, I haven’t had any probiotics since May this year, but plan on consuming kefir very soon.
Without a doubt in my mind, I believe my treatment will be shortened by my constant probiotic consumption over the last 10 years. This gives me a lot of hope, and I KNOW I can beat this monster.
Any help will be much appreciated, since it will give a lot of insight on how useful probiotics are for good digestive health.
Thanks!August 6, 2013 at 10:21 pm #108731

I consumed yogurt with over 10 different strains in it daily for 2 years straight but didn’t do anything to affect my candida. Yogurt and probiotics should not be looked at in an equal manner in my opinion.

Hello, I’ve been taking a reputable probiotic supplement for over ten years but my health has gradually worsened. However, up until 5-6 years ago I was still eating “normally”. I’ve since been following an anti-candida diet but it obviously hasn’t been enough!August 8, 2013 at 6:59 am #108762

I’ve read websites that say probiotics can CAUSE fungal infections. For me they cause diarrhea or at least watery stools. I am not sold on probiotics.
