Do you know any labs that test Candida for sensitivities to antifungals? I wasn’t happy with these:

What was the problem with those?

I think the CDSA stool test is usually recommended

Both resulted in No Growth. However, I have culture mediums and incubator at home and I tested those stool samples and I had growth of Candida tropicalis. I suspect the problem is shipping from Europe to America. They say that Cary Blair transport medium takes care of that. But it could also be something that they do in the lab. They refuse to give me any information.

I think cambridge biomedical research group can analyze the test results:

I’d still recommend the CDSA because it can pick up all kinds of other problems. It’s more likely to give you a definitive answer on whether candida is the problem or not.

Thanks raster. I already did serum antibodies. This test doesn’t tell sensitivities to antifungals (antibiogram).

    Wiley200, I did CDSA.

Have you tested to see if you are allergic to yeast?

hi rob , i believe it is only these 2 labs now that do it.

i did come across one in the uk but the sample report looked quite similiar to DD’s in terms of presentation, I will have a look for this lab again .

have a look at Dr. Hauss in germany. it is quite popular with the germans , i believe they do it the culture method and analyse a swab too but unsure on sensitivity test

    Thanks vaer.

I also noticed that many labs sell tests for DD.

Dr. Hauss seems to do sensitivities, I will contact them.

I did urine metabolites, CDSA, stool PCR, blood antibodies.

Glad I was of help. I know of a clinical practioner who can request many of these tests if a referral is needed. Here in the UK a forwarding/partner is BTS for Hauss.

What lab company’s did you use for PCR, blood etc. Did it shed any light?

I await my DD result and will be submitting a urine OAT test to greatplains in the new year

    Thanks vaer.

GI-MAP found H. pylori with VacA. DRG found Candida overgrowth.
    Arabinitol and arabinose were high.
Yeast under microscope was rare, cultures didn’t grow.
Synlab Germany found upper normal blood IgG.
