I wanted to share my “breakthrough” with you all.About three weeks ago I saw a Quantum Biofeedback specialist who did energy work and extensive (over an hour and half) muscle testing on me.She gave me the OK to start introducing foods such as beans and rice and fruits and nuts into my diet. She also gave me MMS drops, which I’ve been using ever since, every hour.
I don’t believe in “Candida.” I have always had bad digestion and gastro intestinal issues, and I feel like over the years I have not had a healthy diet and consequently lost a lot of digestive enzymes. Here I am now eating fruit every day, rice, quinoa, beans, corn tortillas, cacao, mulberries, beautiful whole foods.I just saw a nutritionist who suggested I avoid nuts and gluten (have stayed away from gluten for a year) due to a nut and gluten sensitivity.I am having regular bowel movements (sorry!ew!haha),I have tons of energy, optimism, feel great,so grateful to be alive. And I’m not taking tons of vitamins, molybdenum, etc, and my body was exhausted from trying to process and digest those.
Four health specialists I have seen all agree that there is little medical proof of Candida. It’s like an urban myth.I believe in a healthy diet, and healing from the inside out.Your inner consciousness is SO strong, and internally we have shifts in our energy which show up in our physical bodies in various symptoms.I released a lot of emotional energy/trauma/blockages,and within 24 hours (!) my chronic constipation, bloating, anxiety and depression had pretty much disappeared.
This book has been a tremendous help to me. http://www.amazon.com/Conscious-Medicine-Creating-Well-Being-Universe/dp/0749941987/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1345339010&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=conscioous+medicine
We can all heal ourselves if we listen and take the time to.When I think of the money and energy and time I wasted on “Candida” for months, initially I feel mad,but also I am humbled and grateful for listening to my body.I released, and I feel and know I am ten million steps further than I was just a few weeks ago.
I hope this helps some of you,and inspires you to see outside the “Candida” box.
    Blessings,
    Tulip

Can you please tell me the purpose of the MMS drops that your consultant prescribed you?

Perhaps many people do have psychosomatic symptoms, but it is a little sweeping to assume that everyone’s Candida symptoms are only in their head.

Candida is real; just ask the women who have chronic vaginal yeast infections. Something is going on. Medication is sold for this, so if it is in their heads, it is also in the heads of those who make/prescribe the medication.

Most people here will tell you that after they started a Candida diet the symptoms lessened or went away; regardless of whether or not doctors believe in these results, they are nonetheless results.

And whether or not you ‘believe’ in Candida, the Candida diet does work for many.

I’m sure all the members here can find 4 health specialists that don’t believe in Candida also. Maybe you didn’t have Candida is what you’re trying to say.
Just because we call it candida doesn’t mean the root cause of it is candida. We just know that it’s associated with our illness, and so that is the name it has recieved from posterity.

I’ve read similar success stories from people following John Sarno, a quack who tried to put a profitable twist on obsolete Freudian junk theory. A psychosomatic illness isn’t “all in your head”; it’s a physical condition caused or spurred on by psychological factors. Stress is a great way to set yourself up for a host of illnesses, including chronic infections. It’s not inconceivable that something that helps to alleviate a significant chronic stressor could produce pretty miraculous health improvements, especially coupled with the placebo effect. I’d say stress reduction is a major part of the placebo effect.

Seemingly psychosomatic situations can appear through causes which are both intentional as well as unintended, but in the end, are the situations really psychosomatic or our actual reality?

Psychosomatic situations are as old and as real as the earth itself, but it appears that the real question in Tulip’s comment is, which was the psychosomatic situation; the problem or the cure …or both? As my signature below states, “We create our reality in our minds first; only then do the actual physical transformations unfold.”

    Just my thoughts.

I think the OP is right. I also think people who do believe in candida are right.

In my opinion, the problem is that a real, existing condition (candida) that does affect people, is “abused” by others who, in reality, do not have candida, but only ascribe their symptoms to a supposed candida infection.

The latter group contains many persons who, in reality, “only” suffer from psychosomatic symptoms. They genuinely believe that it’s candida that makes them feel bad, even though in reality it’s either their circumstances (e.g., a marriage that’s not what it should be) or their way of coping with their circumstances that causes problems.

It’s a known fact that people who are affected by psychosomatic symptoms may be cured by getting the feeling of being in control. That’s why a diet, or an enema, can really help them – even if it’s a totally fake diet or enema.

The problem is: these people, who do not have candida but who firmly believe they do, flood the medical system. A doctor sees such people each day – hence, he loses faith in the existence of candida. The doctor starts seeing a supposed candida infection as just another excuse for “feeling bad” and not going to work.

So – what are we to do? Should we distinguish between real and supposed candida infections? If so, how? If not, is there a different way that allows us to help those who have real candida infections, without being neglected because all those others turned out not to have candida at all?

    Good point Floggi.
You see, I thought if you had a Candida infection, you had a white tongue.
But I have spoken to some people in this forum, and they purported to me that I don’t have candida explaining that they have candida and they don’t have a white tongue, so I mustn’t have candida because I’ve got a white tongue. They then go ahead and email me a photo of their tongue.

So does me having a white tongue and bad breath, among the fatigue and blurry vision etc, preclude me from having candida? Or is that a typical symptom of Candida.

I would have almost thought that if you have a white tongue/bad breath, then you have Candida. But maybe I’m in the wrong forum.

Candida may cause a white tongue (and white insides of your cheeks, and white under your tonge). But there are many more bacteria that also cause a white tongue.

    To put it differently:
    – Candida in the mouth may cause a white tongue, but that’s not a given.
    – A white tongue may be caused by candida, but also by many other bacteria.

As far as I know, candida does not produce sulphur-containing gases. It’s these sulphur-containing gases that cause the smell of bad breath. These gases are produced by several mouth-dwelling bacteria, who may live on the tongue, but also in the pockets between your gums and your teeth.

So, similar to my above post: some people who have a white tongue and a bad breath do have candida, but many more people with these symptoms do not have candida. At least not in the mouth.

I don’t have a white tongue anymore…not for a few weeks! A lot less mucus-I wish you all felt as fantastic as I do! Able,or whoever said,I am aware that it is more than psychosomatic symptoms…as I said,I’d had gastro intestinal issues and a poor diet (though not fast food/meat,just not enough protein/variety/nutrients) on and off for years.I think finally I have a balanced diet and am gaining the appropriate digestive enzymes and my body is quickly responding to all the proper nutrients, vitamins, proteins and carbohydrates I am feeding it.
My favorite breakfast now is a scoop of Sun Warrior protein powder with soaked flax seed, raw cacao, maca, banana, blueberries, that I make into a kind of pudding in the food processor.I add fresh papaya and strawberries. So delicious! I’m so grateful for the variety of foods I can eat.I really love brown rice with hard boiled eggs and vegetables in nori for lunch with a dusting of nutritional flakes.

I didn’t state that your experience was psychosomatic, only that there’s a possibility of this being the case. There’s a chance that your situation is psychosomatic just as there’s a chance that you never had Candida to start with.

I know my bad breath comes from my gut, not the mouth, because when I eat or drink something, it goes away, i.e. it leads me to beleive that the food is blocking off the passage for the odour to come up the GIT to exit the mouth.

I believe you had Candida Tulip, if you had a white tongu and bad breath and now you eat healthy and it’s gone. Well done on getting rid of of that darn thing.

    David.
