I know I should be asking a doctor but at the moment I can’t see one yet. Does anyone know if candida die off toxins are dangerous for the heart? I was born with heart problems so I have to be careful about infections like taking antibiotics before going to the dentist.
Just a little concerned and maybe someone has an opinion or knows. I am being cautious about my approach and any supplements taken until I feel more comfortable.May 23, 2013 at 7:43 am #104982

I don’t know specifically, but I know some people do have heart palpitations from candida and/or die-off. I would just be careful to go slowly and protect yourself with things like molybdenum amino acid chelate and vitamin C.May 24, 2013 at 2:26 am #105026

Maybe a slight hypochondriac. I think I’ll be okay if I approach cautiously. Might take me longer to beat but I’m patient. Have felt palpitations and rapid heart beat but mostly gas related or anxiety and it goes away. Just didn’t want to put myself at risk but I know I have to do this diet if I want to feel better. Thanks!May 24, 2013 at 2:34 am #105028

I would recommend not introducing any antifungals for at least 2 weeks and sticking to Able’s strict candida diet. This will allow die off naturally to occur during the 2 weeks period which will make it less stressful on your system when you introduce the antifungals. And when you do, take only a little at the start to see what you can handle.
A lot of things factor in to how bad your die off will be, like how badly your candida infection is and how you choose to tackle the problem.
I would advise following able’s protocol and diet.
I myself am experiencing heart palpitations and get out of breath super easy just from going up a flight of stairs. I consider myself to be in decent shape before this as I played hockey 12 months a year. So that’s not really normal for me. But I also believe my candida infection is pretty bad and I did a lot of bad things before coming to Able’s protocol and diet.
I first started throwing antifungals in my system without being on the diet, that basically did nothing so I thought the antifungals were weak. (not true)
I then started the diet and 3 or 4 days in through some antifungals in me and it was like I set off a nuclear bomb in my system. I was already experiencing die off naturally but by doing that, I overburdened my system. Don’t do that. lol.
One other thing if you are worried about heart palpilations. Get yourself some Molybdenum Amino Acid Chelate in 250 mcg pills. For more info, again check the protocol. This helps reduce die off reaction.

I had bad heart palpitations as well and the toxins are bad for the heart. I am concerned about my heart health personally and may have to look into it more myself. I still have to heal my lungs, heart, colon, and brain.

I haven’t really noticed heart palpitations for awhile, but I know I have gotten them in the past. It does make me think sometimes if my heart is trying to pump real hard for my tiny little body. I know last year people were worried (myself included), my feet and ankles would swell up all the time. They were really big for my skinny little body. That also made me think if my blood was not circulating enough. I still have that problem sometimes, but not all the time. This especially happened after I had my gastric pacemaker surgery in Jan. 2012. My md said it could be from not getting enough iron, protein, too at the moment from my weakened state.
I was worried from the swelling because of water retention, too. I could not pee, still have that problem. I did start taking juniper from the nd a couple days ago and working on other things first.May 24, 2013 at 2:30 pm #105054

When I’m in the die off period, I have a serious increased heart rate (up to 110 bpm and maybe even higher). My heart also feels ‘weak’. Physical exercises are quite hard (running up the stairs, go to the fitness, …). But I’m doing quite fine with sports that require a good condition (running, swimming). Only things that require power (lifting things etc) are horrible.
I don’t think it is dangerous for the heart at the moment you have it. But you have to cure your candida because I don’t think this is healthy in the long term.
You just have to feel for yourself what you think you are capable off and never do things with reluctance.June 23, 2018 at 10:18 am #176007
