I’m knew in this forum. I have been with recurrent V. yeast infections for a year, because of two antibiotics treatment I took.
I tried the candida diet for a few months last year, ut i see now, that i did things wrong.
Now, about my topic. I read somewhere in this webpage that some of the recipies in the atkins diet are compatible with the candida diet.
Do any of you know if this is true?
please help, because sometimes i feel worried that i might loose a lot of weight, I am 20 years old and always been quite thin, i weight now 46 Kg, and last year on the diet i almost reached 42 Kg, and i was very worried, that’s why I stopped it, and I have been three months without an infection, and that’s why i thought i was ok, but know it’s back, and i’m scared i might loose all that weight again.
thank you so much for your help.April 18, 2012 at 8:34 am #79309

There are some similarities with the diets. The atkins diet is a low sugar diet which is what the candida diet is as well.
However, the candida diet is a no dairy, no sugar, no molds, no fruit, no starch, no alcohol diet. This is different than the atkins diet because the atkins diet promotes eating berries and fruit, seeds/nuts (contain mold), and dairy (feeds candida), starchy foods, etc. Starch feeds candida as well and show be limited.
