    I recently purchased Bitters as a dry herb only to find I need to make it up with alcohol. I have talked to manufacturer who advises against making with water because of extremely short shelf life and not as effective. Their advice: I use it with alcohol by placing the measured bitters in a cup and adding boiling water which destroys the alcohol… has anyone had experience with this or have any thoughts that may help me to decide.?

    I would get the liquid bitters and return the dry stuff, I wouldn’t go through this hassle myself!

    Boiling water won’t destroy all the alcohol.
