Well, where do I start. I have read a lot of the recipes in this forum. I can say, I am overwhelmed with this. I am 50 yrs old and the world’s pickiest eater. I don’t have a clue what most of this stuff is or where to purchase..or if I could even stand to eat it. And please don’t tell me I have to like it…or just get use to it.
I don’t know how I am going to do this actually. I love chocolate…I am addicted to it. Gotta have it daily. Love my milk too. I don’t like almonds or coconut.
With that said, I have gone to 5 different Drs, had tons of tests done. Food allergy testing, extensive blood work, x-rays of my chest. No one can find anything wrong. Brought up Candida albicans..showed them the tests I got from online (spit test and Dr Crooks test)..and one said..it was rare and doubt I had that..and the other told me all these symptoms could be anything..They were too generalized and that I probably should see a shrink. Needless to say..I AM DONE with Drs. They want me to get a CT scan of my head and my heart.
I took it upon myself to do a body detox and also with the metal detox as well for 6 weeks. The last Dr looked at me like I was nuts by doing that too. I wanted to slap her.
My symptoms-Shortness of breath/asthma, severe dizziness..especially after eating, severe fatigue, somewhat depressed/down, don’t want to socialize anymore, severe chemical sensitivity, headaches some severe. Had allergen tests done in 2007. I am allergic to some grasses and weeds. I am doing the sinus rinse and a nasal spray/nasonex and taking an antihistamine daily. I have facial pressure like allergy related between the eyes, sore throat, Brain fog/cant remember anything, irritable, Yeast infections every 2 months, chronic fatigue type symptoms/body ache like when having the flu, constipation, abdominal bloating, low-grade fever/low body temperature, tingling in arms/hands, acne, ringing in the ears (tinnitus)-diagnosed with Menieres disease back in 1995, restless leg syndrome, low sex drive, weight changes without changes in diet, heart palps, Sweet Cravings, bad breath/taste in mouth and light-headedness.
So I began my research of the top three symptoms. Fatigue, dizziness, and headaches.
Ran across a food allergy forum and someone in it said they had candida albicans. I thought..what is that? So I googled..i was shocked when I read it. The only other connection I could find was MCS..multiple chemical sensitivity..but it seems the candida symptoms are closer to whats going on.
Oh..my PH balance shows good-7.0 Anyway, I am not sure I am in the right place but it sure sounds like it. This is a self diagnosis.
Any comments for guidance, help with foods etc.?????
Again, i am overwhelmed with this diet thing…

I am not sure what your question or questions are? Nobody can diagnose you here as we are not medical staff. Most of us diagnose our selves and basically if you start this diet and you get die-off, then your symptoms improve you will know if you are on the right track or not.
As to being a picky eater, I really don’t have much tolerance for that as I will eat whatever I need to. Nobody can solve that problem but you. If you can afford to be picky eater, go for it. If not, then it’s time for some changes IMO.
Write your specific questions and I am sure someone will answer.

Most of your symptoms sound like candida overgrowth. The only way to know for certain is to try out the diet and see if you experience “die off symptoms.” These symptoms are very similar to having the flu/cold and its generally a worse feeling than you currently feel now. It can be quite debilitating.
I would examine your diet and ask yourself why you have food cravings!? I mean, why do you crave sugar, sweets, chocolate, etc? Its the candida asking to be fed and this is likely why you have an overgrowth.
I would examine why you think you got here and how your current diet has made you ill. If you are not eating many veggies, salads, etc…you will have a lifetime of poor health; I would look at your diet as cause and effect. If you eat nothing but hamburgers, ice cream, etc…what kind of effect do you think this will have on the body? What if you ate nothing but veggies and healthy foods? You are what you eat, and this can be a literal connection for a lot of people.
As far as picky eating problems…I have this as well so I can relate. Luckily many of the foods on the diet are similar to what you normally can eat; oat bran is similar to oatmeal, buckwheat is similar to rice, pumpkin pie muffin bread tastes like pumpkin pie! Discovering foods that make you feel good is essential for everyone and if you notice you feel bad after eating junk, there could be a good reason for this…
There is a whole world of healthy foods out there that make you feel good with little consequence…and they actually taste OK. Stevia is a great sweetener and can replace sugar. Eating your way to good health will be a major part of your protocol.
