First, I’d like to say I am very impressed by the depth of information and compassion on this site. I am new here – have been on the diet for a week and, via the recommendation of the lady at Whole Foods, taking Candigone as well. After reading through the Strict Version, a couple of questions regarding supplements:
1) Should I stop taking Candigone and go for only the specific antifungals/etc on the protocol? (I’m assuming yes.)
2) I have been prescribed the following supplements from naturopaths whom I have seen over the years and am not sure if I should keep taking them. Some of them (like Renal Plus and Vitamineral Greens) do much to alleviate chronic problems I have with dry heat/dehydration (my nasal passages get hard from the inside and crack and bleed – I think it comes from the gut – and I can’t tolerate heat/air conditioning/even fans circulating indoor air), which may well be caused by Candida.
Standard Process Organically Bound Minerals (iodine, kelp, alfafa)
MegaFood Blood Builder (iron, b-12, folate, vitamin c)
Vitamineral Greens (or Raw Reserve Green Superfood)
Omega Factors Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil (perhaps unnecessary now if I’m eating lots of eggs?)
Medi-Herb Gut Flora Complex
Hyland’s Bioplasma Cell Salts
If anyone knows whether some or all of these may be contraindicated with the Protocol/diet, or whether it’s okay to keep taking them, I would very much appreciate it.
