I have read many success testimonies about the enemas and candida related complex. This is one I read recently in another forum. Notice this girl had chronic vaginal candidiasis (recurrent episodes ) So, after treating the colon, she cured her vaginal infection. This is an example of how the intestinal yeast influence the immune system.

I suffered from chronic monthly yeast infections for years, caused by overuse of antibiotics, and I have finally cured them! I have been symptom free for about 4 months now. I had tried everything over the years, special diets, a range of supplements and anti-fungal herbs, but never with much success. I was commited to finding a natural cure and avoided chemical drugs at all costs because of my experience with the antibiotics. The cure for me was actually quite simple. Every other day I took a garlic and yogurt enema (infuse a couple cloves of garlic in very hot water, and once it’s cooled to room temperature strain and stir in 1 heaping teaspoon of plain yogurt). Invariably the day after the enema I would notice this white stringy material come out into the toilet. I am pretty certain this was one of the phases of multi-cellular candida being killed off by the garlic. I would also notice a reduction in my symptoms the following day, but if I let the enemas go for more than 3 days then the symptoms would return. I continued the every other day schedule for about a month and a half.

This does sound very encouraging, glad there are ways to cure this for some people, but I’m wondering about some things:

    1. Why are there very, very few accounts saying ‘enemas have cured my candidiasis’, surely more people would be willing to try these and show how powerful they are?

    2. From what I’ve heard, it’s difficult to get the enemas to be deep-reaching, to eradicate the sources in the small intestine etc… How would that be accomplished?

    3. In order to be really ‘cured’, you would need to eradicate the problem (Candida, parasites, SIBO…), and then make sure the immune system is recovered. So it would means continuing the protocol to heal yourself surely.

I suppose I would be willing to give this type of enema a try, but would need advice from an ND to make sure I don’t cause further damage to my body.

    X,

    1. It’s likely the majority of sufferers in this community will not try enemas, and I can understand this to a certain degree given the process. I have read many cure stories by using enemas, many in cure zone and in the literature.

    2. Enemas do not reach or address the small intestine. The colon is the preferred location for yeast in most cases so it shouldn’t be a problem.

    3. Candida is tricky and depresses our immune system. Often removing or reducing the infection will restore immune competence given there isn’t other variables like mercury toxicity or other immune depressants.

I have done over 100+ enemas (Pro-biotic, Nystatin, etc.) and they have only brought benefit and relief for me. It’s somewhat understandable why some people are skeptical or hesitant in trying enemas but I’m glad I did. They are very safe if done correctly.

I am only being true to my experience when I say enemas are beneficial and have been a keystone therapy for my treatment.

Sounds like complete sense to me. Glad you are benefitting fully from them, and I agree that most wouldn’t consider enemas based on how they’re carried out.

I would definitely be willing to give these a try though.

After all the times you’ve had yours – do you feel close to a cure? Or is there another factor preventing this?

For me I’ll need to address my adrenals/thyroid/digestive disorder as well as kill the fungi, so my plan may be worse than the case mentioned above.

Never done an enema before. Can someone tell me what to use, where to get it, and where I can learn how to do this correctly?

    X,
    I am not cured.
However, I have completely eliminated half of my symptoms and reduced the severity of the remaining.
My story represents a severe case of dysbiosis.

In 2008 I was over-prescribed a plethora of anti-biotics for my prostatitis. I took over 50+ broad spectrum anti-biotic tablets in the course of 3 months. Including Levofloxacin (Levaquin), an extremely potent and dangerous anti-biotic. There are numerous websites/blogs dedicated to “survivors” of Levaquin. It is indeed ruining people’s lives along with numerous other anti-biotics.

Just to give you a general idea of my progress, here are some of my severe symptoms.

*It’s important to note that not even one of the below symptoms were present before my anti-biotics. My health declined rapidly post-antibiotic treatment.

    -Chronic constipation
    -Severe dust mite allergy
-Multiple environmental allergies (e.g grass, rag weed, etc.)
    -Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS)
    -Seborrheic dermatitis
    -Dandruff
    -Prostatitis
-Severe Gluten intolerance (smallest amount causes severe diarrhea)
    -Food sensitivities (e.g Wheat, jalapeno,)
    -Indigestion
    -Intestinal/stomach pain
    -Chronic Fatigue
    -Brain Fog/ Memory loss
    -Painful skin patches

As of now, I have completely eliminated my prostatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff, indigestion, and various skin conditions. I’m no longer chronically constipated; my environmental allergies are less severe, and stomach/intestinal pain is rare. While not as bad as they used to be, I’m still dealing with my MCS, gluten intolerance, and occasionally mild brain fog.

I am getting a CDSA shortly and plan to try chelation (Cutler Protocol) via ALA as my body reacted to high doses (50mg ALA). I have never had amalgams but have lived my whole life eating fish/sea food. I also ate large amounts of tuna/salmon during the years (during and after my anti-biotic treatment) as part of a body building regimen at the time.

I progressed significantly while doing Nystatin retention enemas. I went through 500MU of Nystatin powder pretty fast. And yes, for the first time I saw copious amounts of the “white matter” that so many people speak of. I had to stop treatment when my g/f lost her job at the time, couldn’t afford to keep buying Nystatin with all other financial obligations. That’s no longer an issue so I plan pick up where I left off soon.

    Danny,
You took an excellent decision about the enemas and Nystatin retention enemas. I almost can assure you, there isn’t solution for a severe candida case without this practice.

Your case is very similar to my case. My overgrowth occurred after taking antibiotics during 3 months for a prostatitis that never was a bacteria. Cipro and Levaquin destroyed me. I took Levaquin for 28 continue days prescribed by an Urologist. Can you imagine it ??

I was a very strong man who never was tired. I worked 12 and 14 hours a day as a construction electrician and never knew the word tired. If I list all my symptoms, they are over 50.

Anyway, I suggest you to continue with the Nystatin retention enemas for a while after the clear water enemas. You may add a capsule of Curcumin to the Nystatin solution, at least one time a week. Curcumin has some antibacterial activity but the most important is to eliminate the fungal infection. Nystatin and Curcumin are synergistic causing a fungicidal effect when mixed.

Take Nystatin orally, no less than 3 millions of units a day plus curcumin capsules. Keep the diet and do the enemas plus retention enemas.

There will be a moment where you will notice less and less mucus and strings coming out. At this point hit the infection harder for at least one more week. Then, switch to S. Boulardii 6 or 8 capsules a day, keep the diet, and add a multi-strain probiotic if you want. If you can tolerate home made Kefir, it may help at this point.

The most important is to take the S. Boulardii and keeping the diet. I think this is going to take you to a final cure. Keep in touch because if you notice some new symptom or want to report a reaction, we can suggest you something.

    Jorge.

I do enemas as well, alternating between chlorella and garlic/aloe and bentonite however, have also had great success with colonics.

I got a series of 4 in a row (1 a week for 4 weeks) and had a huge improvement in overall bowel function. It was also great having the guidance of someone who knew a lot about the topic of the colon and candida and was able to pick up on how well you’re doing (after 2 weeks on the diet we began to get a lot of dead yeast colonies and even parasitic worms out). I have had severe symptoms though and so upon completing a session the first few times I would be spaced out and need to lie down for the rest of the day.

The colonics with the enemas and some magnesium citrate have my bowels returned to almost normal and for someone with severe Celiacs disease that is a lot.
