Why can’t we drink this?
It’s called ‘mold.’
In a response to various accusations that all wheatgrass contains specific types of mold, the president of Perfect Foods, Inc., the largest wheatgrass growers in New York stated the following:
“There are a few varieties of mold which commonly grow on wheatgrass and are very difficult to avoid. Almost every wheat seed that’s planted produces a blue-fuzz mold.”
Spirulina contains antifungal properties and will also be a great plus in rebuilding the immune system. It shouldn’t present a problem other than possible die-off symptoms.
