Diet Cherry Coke (the best!)
Although watch your teeth. The acid definitely thins the enamel if consumed in ridiculous amounts.
If we’re talking about what’s safe to drink for Candida sufferers, then Aspartame is OUT. Aspartame shows the MOST yeast growth, GREATER than sugar! You have to wonder if there’s a Candida conspiracy to make everyone sick, as this is the sweetener of choice, and continues to be so in spite of healthier sweeteners like Stevia!
According to this study: http://biosurvey.ou.edu/oas/06/paper/malatinsky.pdf, Splenda seems to be ok. There is a very small amount of yeast growth with Splenda, because it contains a small amount of Dextrose. Therefore, pure Sucralose would be better.
However habitual consumption of Sucralose WILL cause side effects.
So as far as I can see, the only safe sweeteners are Stevia or Saccharin.
I did find one drink with only Stevia, it’s called “ZEVIA”. You can buy it in some grocery stores, and also Amazon.com. Their site is http://www.zevia.com. The reviews on Amazon.com seem to show that they taste really good. But they are pretty expensive.. about $0.87 per 12 oz. can in a 24 pack.
