The syndrome is triggered by many possible factors, including antibiotics, life style, stress, etc.
The immune fail is the main cause. There are millions and millions of people living with stress, a high sugary junk diet, and taking antibiotics that never develop chronic candidiasis. Those people have an immune system that don’t tolerate candida.
To overcome this syndrome, you need to find what is the problem that affects your immune system in order to correct it. The good new is this immune tolerance is mostly ACQUIRED. So, it is possible to revert it.
To my knowledge the main causative factors are :
The presence of yeast antigens for long period of time ( years )
Chronic heavy metal toxicity, mostly Mercury that pushes the immune system toward to a Th2 mode.
Adrenal Fatigue caused by severe stress and life style.
These are the main causes of chronic candidiasis in “healthy” people.
A diet with supplements allow managing since it reduces the yeast level on the tissues, but don’t correct the syndrome. Many people feel better or good following this kind of life where you need to watch what you put in your mouth and forget to work toward to the immune restoration needed to come back to normal.
Jorge, I have read quite a few of your posts, and I do have to agree with the immune support now. Plus, I understand the importance of different supplements now to help such as lactoferrin, probiotics, vitamin c, and keeping stress at ease. Also, diet! I know when I am more rested, think about my choices, I feel better. I do over-exert myself a lot.
However, I do appreciate all the advice given here. I would have never learned about bad and good foods here. I learned more about reactions to food, some people are just allergic to things. Plus, I can’t believe all the time Able and raster have contributed to this forum.
Not all these suggestions are going to work for everyone (it is pointed out.), and it probably is smart to do it slow, which I admit I didn’t (we live in a society of quick fixes). I know I have felt attacked, criticized, etc., but later I just try to remember that we are just trying to get better! we all just have to think before we say stuff sometimes.
So, I just want to say try to be kind, depression, adrenals, immune is a strong presence. Basically, we all have to change our lives, and in the protocol, it does talk about maintenance of healthy life-style, just want to enjoy treats now and again without feeling horrible, fix leaky gut. Also, just wanted to say thank you to every one that is trying to help, and raster, I am hoping for a good phone consult with your doctor this week. =)
