I was told to eat 1/4 tsp a day of turmeric. I usually eat a bit more than that as I have come to like the taste a lot. It’s one of the things I most enjoy putting on my two eggs (with many vegetables) in the morning. Apparently, it is a very good anti-oxidant and gently cleanses the liver; the fact that it is delicious is a benefit.
I recommend that you get an organic turmeric and, because you’re only using 1/4 teaspoon a day, you might want to to refrain from purchasing a generous amount. I did that the last time and the product lasted me 6 months. I think more benefit would be derived from fresh turmeric than that which has been sitting for months in the cupboard. My opinion, not based on any facts.
