The main symptom that got me motivated to deal with my candida was uncontrollable weight gain. In the beginning of this process I was carrying around approximately 70 lbs. of fat. I’m thinking the reason why my body was storing so much fat may point to the amount of toxins it was dealing with. I’ve always read that the body stores toxins in it’s fat. I believe this because I was eating 1200 calories a day for months and did a couple of doctor assisted weight programs, and was unable to lose weight.
I would be interested in knowing if the doctor set your daily colorie count at the 1,200 or if you made that decision. Starving your body can infact have an opposite effect when it comes to weight loss. The body will store fat if it feels like it won’t be getting all that it needs (I am stating this in simple terms). Crash diets (in terms of calories) are not only dangerous but often times do not work for this reason. A lot of people will see an initial drop in weight though but many times that can be due to loss of water. I studied health many years ago and lost over 100lbs on my own. Cutting calories isn’t a guaranteed solution.
