I think most would agree that following a strict candida diet sets you up to follow a healthy diet for the rest of your life even after the candida has been cleared out. Im not sure how others feel, but for me the driving factor in following a candida protocol is to be healthy and feel good again. It shouldnt be about getting cured so I can fall back into the same eating patterns that set me up to have candida in the first place.
I don’t think anyone on here want’s to be cured so they can eat like crap again one day. I can bet I speak for most people when I say that we’d just like to be able to have an occasional ____________________________(fill in the blank, for me it’s a cheese sandwich, or slice of cake). In addition to our healthy diet.
My goal is to get to a place of eating where I’m not totally freaked out if I have to attend a dinner somewhere.
I know, I would like to be able to enjoy a beer or some ice cream every once in awhile without having to worry whether it will make my candida worse. The emotional aspect of the diet is tough to overcome also. Im not looking forward to my super bowl party tomorrow. Im pretty sure vegetables and a chicken breast wont be on the menu.
