Tomatoes are a fruit and are high in sugar and should not be consumed in high quantities on the diet. However if you eat just a few pieces here and there (like on your salad) it shouldn’t set you back much.

Sea salt is recommended because it contains more minerals and because it doesn’t contain dextrose which is a form of sugar.
