And thats not even getting into the possibilities of the mycotoxin illness model of immune dysfunction or a possible overgrowth of gram negative baddies and their toxic lps’s creating a state of havoc. The more I learn, the more I see candida overgrowth as merely a symptom. Not to mention the fact how much non-IgE sensitivities you see in this crowd. In a candida specific immune environment, one would think that there would be a huge increase in IgE reactions. I see antibody related hypersensitivities everywhere, loss of oral tolerance in this crowd is of epic proportion, but most of them are non-IgE. It even seems like one could make a case that several people see a decrease in IgE reactions before infection. That is all again typical of something other than candida influencing the immune system. Of course, another persistant infection that draws an Il-4 response would subvert that effect, and that is what I at this moment attribute IgE reactions in this model too. Most likely the gram negative example used above being a probable particular influence. And hypersensitivities are not due to just gut inflammation, I know several people with crohns and have spent a fair amount of time cruising crohns messageboards and hypersensitivities, in the conexxt of oral tolerance, are practically nonexistant. I would also like to add that I do not speak in absolute terms, rather the general rule.
