That’s really a super personal decision that nobody can answer but you. Nobody can really tell you not to take a job that may better your quality of life for years to come unless it’s a decision that you come to on your because you really believe the stress will be too much for you.
I will do my best to answer your question about stress and candida and maybe that will help you to make a better decision.
Does stress affect candida? Absolutely but then so does a myriad of other things out there.
Under stress our adrenal glands produce the hormone cortisol which can trigger a release of glucose into the blood and increase blood pressure to get you going when the going gets tough. Unfortunately during prolonged periods of stress elevated cortisol production can suppress the immune system. With a weakened immune system and lots of sugar floating found to feed on Candida have a party, set up home and start rapidly reproducing!
So, could it lengthen your battle with candida? Possibly, if the job is going to stress you out to an extreme amount. Is it going to be the deciding factor of whether you beat candida or not? I doubt it.
If this job kept you in a perpetual state of high stress that drastically did elevate your cortisol levels on a daily bases to the point that your adrenaline was running all the time. I’d suggest you probably have a bigger reason than candida to not take the job cause who would want to live like that. lol.
If it’s manageable stress and it’s a great opportunity to further your career etc. Than I’d hate to see you give that up cause of an illness you will almost surely get past in the near future.
